Sure am glad I had three sets of batteries for my precious. Dropped one of my batteries at work onto the concrete, and, well, lets just say the protection circuit kicked in.:shock:

Have four pairs now. Vapors golden rule, back ups to one's back ups!

WooooHooooo!!! Congrats Chornbro! :D I have the Boge SR pre-punched (2 holes) and they work good ... BUT the slotted SR Boges are MUCH better I think! And they last a LONG time! I got mine at Surevapes (free shipping)!

Yeh, I got a 5 pack of some Boge cartos with my diver order. $9 for 5. After all of the money I'm accustomed to dumping into vaping gear, $9 is about the same as saying "they're free!"

My friend got his diver before me and he's not super thrilled. He's a pretty competent builder... but hopefully he was doing something wrong that I'll figure out. We're both waiting on BBs, he's the one that called/texted/emailed/facebook'd/g-chatted (literally) me letting me know they were in stock. The stock hit on his watch, but I would've done the same for him : D

Looks like my BB has left the Salt Lake sort facility this morning. Based on 2 day Priority Mail, I will have it tomorrow or Thursday. I have already received a pair of the AW ICR123 batteries and have 2 pair of the regular AW 16350 batteries in the mail. My Order of the Diver from Avid Vapors has also shipped along with a five pack of boge slotted carts. I am so excited that I stopped by Home Depot yesterday and picked up new hand tools including needle nose pliers, mini dike cutters and some cut off wheels and polishing kit for my Dremel!

I ordered an extra Delrin tank and a repair kit from Billet Box. Is there anything else I might need? Also ordered some nickel NR 32 ga wire off eBay.

Well I know they won't. I don't even get to keep my clothes hah. But I was just trying to see if I should have someone watch the site for me. But if there's not gonna be another preorder until next february I won't have to worry about it

Oh my! There should be batches every few weeks, not sure if any will be ready before you leave though.

MOST amazing vapepiphany I think I've ever had. For thos of us that are into rebuildables, why not use a kayfun mini, mod the BB tank bottom hole to hold the bottom connector of the mini, and use the long air tube, create a sort of cork that will go in the tank top hole, run the airtube throught the cork and into the drip tip? Anyone think this sounds feasible? I don't have a BB yet but someone who's interested, could it be done?

If I get you correctly, you're talking about modding a KFM v2.1 to fit inside a BB tank so it acts as the tank for the KFM - yes?

Do-able, maybe, but probably not practical without severe modifications to a BB tank, maybe the brass ring, and/or the KFM v2.1 itself.

The BB tank is 16.3 mm deep and the thinnest wall (the tank face) is 1.2 mm.
The KFM is 14 mm OD, and any mod to the bottom end of the tank would have to include an o-ring and channel. You'd need an o-ring with a 14 mm ID and OD of 16 mm to prevent leaks. With a stock KFM v2.1 this leaves only .15, maybe .2 mm of material between the o-ring and the outside world at the front and back of the tank.
And, you'd have to get this enlarged bottom hole positioned just so or the center pins wouldn't line up.

If the KFM v2.1 air tube is ~9 mm, the top of the tank itself may not need to be modded. Any larger it might could be done, but again having to enlarge the hole and cut a channel for a new o-ring ... and enlarge the ID of the brass ring just enough let it pass while still making contact, or it wouldn't fire (no ground path).
Any smaller and you'd probably have a hard time keeping the tank airtight and making ground.

It's possible the base of the KFM could be reduced in diameter to maybe as small as 12 mm, making the mod to the bottom of the BB tank more feasible, but it would probably be useless for anything else afterward and seems like a hell of a way to treat a $140 RBA.

Certainly not saying it couldn't be done, but given how well standard cartos work, and the available options of things like the Diver and the DIY "Condor" ... well, it just doesn't seem like a worthwhile endeavor.

You never know, though, with the crazies on this vape train. . . .

Well the theory seemed feasible. But noe that youve given the dimensions of everything, not so much. Thanks for the info!

Wow I got so far off topic. So for anyone who owns a BB are they of resonable size for a pocket?

Perfect size. A little smaller than a pack of king size cigarettes. More heft than a pack of smokes, but feels fight at home.

Backup pack of batteries in the pocket has replaced my trusty old Zippo.

Best of all, no ungainly tank or atty teetering on the end of the box.
