thank you for the video!

i had some leaking issues initially w/the flangeless diver in the BB til i used cotton fed downward between the ceramic cup & the base. no leaking! my issue next is the draw is soooooo tight (cannon ball through garden hose, eh?). perhaps i was a bit too ambitious in feeding the cotton back up into the hole of the ceramic cup where the brass center pin goes :lol. will thin it out & try again. i was just so happy to taste my juice [stop it] & not experience the leaking. can't wait for the perfect rba to be created for the BB. . .must. . .have. . .

Mr. Longo, hi! ;) Congratulations of the B Box!! I'm sure you'll love it.

You don't happen to have a Provi V2 mini in that "to sell" box, do ya?

<------- I happen to know someone who is looking for one. ;) (Hint hint: Classies ad)

Having lurked here for 10 months, and going back-and-forth about buying a BB when all the craziness/stalking requirements finally slowed down, I did the unexpected and jumped in today. This within hours of telling a friend that I would NOT be doing that. I checked the site twice, earlier this morning, just to see if they had gone up yet.

I was at my office and just happened to check the site one more time, sometime this afternoon. To my amazement, they were available. So, once again, I betrayed my earlier comments and purchased one. I guess it was meant to be.

Now the only thing to decide is which mod-or-mods, if any, am I willing to sell off. Because I simply can't use all this stuff!!! And rest assured that it will NOT be the BB.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to finally being able to take a Billet Box for a ride around the blocks. Thanks to all for keeping me educated. It truly has been a lot of fun watching all the activity, and reading all the comments. Hopefully, I've learned something. Time will tell.

This Fresca's for y'all. :toast:

I'm vaping the perfect RBA for the Billet Box. It's been created, just has to be built.

Hi Kat - and thanks!

I'm sorry, but I do not. Both of my Provaris are of the full size variety. I'm a pretty heavy vaper (10-12 per day) and even with 18650's, I won't get a day out of them.

But I've noticed a fair number of P's being sold lately - and the prices are starting to come down (on many things, finally & inevitably). I can't image that your friend will have too much difficulty locating a good one, at a decent price. At least I sincerely hope that's the case.

I also hope so! Since "my friend" (ahem) wants a V2, it's not such an easy prospect, but it could happen! She wants to trade a full sized for a mini. She worries not about batt life, strange woman that she is. ;) (I can say anything I want about her. We're, ummm.... close.)

Care to elaborate? I'd love to know whether a Sophia can be used...

First build this:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-evod-head-prototype-mod-billet-box-only.html

Then take it to the next level with this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-micro-coil-build-aro-evod-protank-heads.html

Once built, the heads can be rebuilt, either conventionally, vertically, or simply replaced if one's not in the mood to fiddle with rebuilding.

I run five tanks. That would be 3-4 hundred dollars worth of Diver's or Sophia's as opposed to these homemade, repurposed Chinese parts atty's that cost under $5 each to make.

I see a black/green v2.5 posted now. But I expect she wants the teardrops, si?

i'm guessing juice got in here and shorted something out, the crazy thing is tho, it still works! just stinks like an electrical fire. the screw holding the board in is rounded out, gonna go get a left handed drill bit today and get it outa there and see if i can clean it up, re-solder if i have to. gave the help desk at dougs shop a call and left a voicemail, i hope he'll sell me a new board!

i knew something was up because twice after letting go of the button, the unit still fired lightly, like a low voltage burn, plus the smell. smelled like burning circuits/burning juice. thought it was my batts, actually threw some out because i thought they were bad.

doug's the man, even called me on a sunday. sendin me what i need to fix it up. just gonna get that screw out and clean it up and use it till the new board gets here. still impressed the thing still works. hard to tell from the pic but near the bottom you can kinda see that a layer of copper is actually peeling up, corroded to all hell, yet still works like a champ. thanks doug!

k, well a little bit of a filliping update, our office keeps doing what they can, but now i'm going to try somethin'.

the reason this is a problem is becasue a lot of people genuinely want the thing, but as you can flip it for 400 to 600 bucks, well, no fooling a lot of people are after it to do just that. To me personally, the flipping itself it's doesn't bother me in the slightest.. i don't care if someone is trying to make a few bucks, but i do care that the people who want one have a hard time gettin' it, and i do care that my thread becomes a place to bítch when they can't... makes me not want to be here....

I understand some people just have the cash, and can just get a flipped one no worries, but that's what fuels this.....
Soooooooo, what I'm gonna do, is just make a BB worth worth flip price, then there wouldn't be a reason to flip a standard BB. We won't care if these get flipped as long as our standard BB stock gets left the f' alone...

Making the BB more expensive is not all that hard, just mill the thing out of 464 naval brass, it costs a .... load of cash, not as bad as titanium, that would run about 700 in raw stock per box. Still, making the BB out of this is really just stupid uneconomical,.... i'm happy to have a reason to do it, but dammmmmn, buying the raw stock for this little "project" hurt, bad. Unfortunately, it ain't as easy as just sticking different stuff into Ruby and pushing the "make billet box" button. All the code has to be tweaked... brass just don't cut the same way... sooo work... bummer... Fortunately for me, cutting this huge of a slab of brass is an engineering nightmare to keep tolerance, it warps like crazzy as it's structure is removed and causes all kinds of trouble... Yes, I said fortunately on that last one because i love that kinda crap, it's fun, and i'm sick like that. hell, it may not even work all said and done.. but i'll try.

So go time.. kinda... this will take a bit of time to re-code and get all done...but i did the slide covers, and so far so good..

starting out with a 3/16th slab of the stuff, and pit it against the table saw... table saw won... it ALWAYS wins.

happy little slabs getting ready for the vaccum chuck and their first milling op.

Brass is pretty easy to cut, but it's funny on side load cuts and likes bend the tooling a little if you plow through it to quick...not to mention it will near melt if you go REALLLY fast...

first op went happy, needed a little code tweak after the first run but nothing major... and nothing got scraped so far...

Now time for the Vacu-Suck, here we had a little issue, the material missing from the fist op changed the structure of the metal, warping it slightly,,, so i had to kinda hammer whack *gently* the connecting stock flat enough again for the vacuum to grab it...

once the vacuum grabs hold, it's dead flat again... the vacuum is kinda super bad ....

stuff

yes, that's a dolphin

all donez.... awww the little dolphins are so cute....

so that's it with that so far,,,, Ruby goes under the knife soon but hopefully for just a day or two... this coming week is tank week big time to get that all restocked... Again, no new BB batch this coming week, so we will prep for a really big batch the following week...I have things in order now that the shop can live without me for a bit when baby infant decided to exit wife lady, and that should be like any minuet now......

OK, found the wrench at Amazon...where else. Hex L-Wrench Keys - .035 l-wrench allen wrench chamfered - Amazon.com

Popped over in the Billet Box Vapor site just to be sure they didn't sell these before posting the link. It appears there is a new helper soon to be here!:toast:
call me if you need the screws, the little heads of them 0-80s LOVE to strip... We have a clean office downtown where we (read not me) assemble um', and I prep the little allen keys doobers for them by clipping the L off so they can stick the long part in an Exacto type handle thingy.. they keep sending back the shafts so i can regrind them down as they strip too... little screws suck... I want to get an ultrasonic welder for the tank assembly, but,,, money... they cost money... lame....

neat-O, i don't know exactly the history of the diver with regards to the flange and length... but i did just receive one in the post from atmistique and it was a drop-in fit... apparently pregnant chick was e-mail'n with um and they have had requests for a BB specific one, so that's either happening, or will happen or something... but i have one in my box right now, so it definitely is a real type thing, and it works great, no leaks, no cotton, just out of the box (actually they send stuff in little bags), and into the box, push button, vapor comes out.
