Wow, all I read was S & M is hot...haha....sorry. I did mention shortening the case as an option. Pretty sure protecting the BB is a high priority for most though. I am leaning towards the side cutout, but not sure what is the easiest for the leather smith. For some reason I cannot get leather bras out of my mind now....thanks! haha

OK, so not trying to be lazy here, but only have a few minutes, so the pics are at the link. Anyway, the case didn't exactly turn out as I had hoped. Leather work is great, but it is slightly too thick. But the biggest problem is that you cannot remove the BB from the case one handed except by grabbing the drip tip, which isn't cool. The intent from the manu is the finger hole at the bottom. But even with my large hands, the case is too big for that to work. Anyway, I am sending the case back to the drawing board, but thought I would ask for any realistic ideas here. My suggestions to him was either to slot the sides or make the case shorter (and possibly make a full width cover flap across the top). Here is link and suggestions welcome (post or PM...doesn't matter to me).

The case looks well made, but I'd make a few changes if it were for me. I would prefer a case you don't have to remove to use the BB. So there would need to be an opening to press the button. And it's too deep, especially if you were using a shorty drip tip, I'd have it stop at or just before the top of the BB. And I'd like an option for a clip or caribiner instead of a snap on thingy that only would attach to a belt, since I don't wear belts. :)

A solution for tight cases made of leather is a little bit of baby powder inside, works wonders! :)

Just me, but I think leather is much too thick for a wrap. Would make using a BB aggravating. It is just so nice using it naked....the BB I mean of course...well maybe?

But for the carabiner, that is no prob, just get the leather loop option and attach one. I agree that the case is too tall, even if the side slot option is used, it should be shortened to the top of the BB, instead of just above.

Personally, I wouldn't use a full leather wrap, I like being able to take it out of a bag or pocket without it hanging up on the leather.

What about a leather strap that fits very snugly around the "silver" part of the BB only. Cut-outs for the drip tip and air holes. Easy access to the door without removing it from the "case", and the button. Would improve the grip for sweaty palms, ad an optional D-ring on either the top or side for attaching to a carabiner. I'm not a leather worker, but if a thinner leather is feasible, it would look better. IMO.

Within minutes there were over 35 comments! Most not very nice ... And for good reason! Just WRONG on so many levels! I've removed the person's name that put it up for sale (I should leave it on there) because I'm nice like that!

The ad has since been removed! GOOD!! This isn't the first time I seen these flippers double or triple the price for a BB ... BUT it's the first time I've seen someone try to FLIP for a MAJOR PROFIT ... AND brag that they have the only one media blasted and that the owner Matt made it for him! THAT'S what really yanked my chain!! Really NO RESPECT at all!

Rant over! People who buy these wonderful devices just to turn around and try to flip to make money ... There ARE people watching you ... Everywhere!! Remember THAT!!!!

I am with you up to here, but not sure I follow about the strap passing through the cutouts? Are you talking changing the strap to go from side to side instead of back to front? If so, seems like there would be too many variable with so many drip tips.

Figured this might need some more 'splainin'!

The slots will look like this:

handmade_wooden_business_card_holder_5.jpg

They will be cut out of the upper edges of the case, where the BB is inserted. This is where thumb and index finger can pinch the BB and pull it out.

The strap should remain unchanged. It will wrap over those two new notches, and protect the small bit of the BB that is exposed by the notches, when the strap is secured. Also, the strap will physically rest against the top of the BB, and secure it in place.

Thus, you can create a looser fit in the case itself. The looser fit will allow for easier insertion, easier removal with two fingers, but with the strap pressed against the BB where the notches are, the BB should be wedged in tight when fully inserted and locked in place by the secured strap.

Thanks for the detail....haha...but just saying slots back and front would have worked. Unfortunately the back doesn't allow room for a cutout due to the additional leather required for the belt clip. And to move it lower would make for a taller case and possibly side gouging when sitting. But I do think side slots are doable and maybe increase the top flap width for additional protection. Giving an option for those with longer drip tips. Ok, short on time, so will pass that along today and see what comes out of this. Thanks for everyone's input.

Parish Case can make custom leather case for ecig device maybe they can help..

All cases - Parish leather cases

Wow. Nice stuff!

I'm not much of a case guy, particularly where the BB is concerned (that's one of it's significant advantages for me), but I do love to look.

And Kat - that things is, umm, very cute. I had the EXACT same thought that Akdare did. Do you have little "bedding" arrangements for ALL of your mods? Do any of them snore? ;-)

Duty, the biatch that she is, calls. Have a great day, all!
