Wow... just wow... I ALMOST understood what was said... I think...
I have seen both recommendations before (use lower ohm coils, use higher ohm coils), and I've never gotten a conclusive answer, and clearly, neither has anyone else. I had no idea that there could be a debate about it!!!
The power consumption of a 60 watt bulb IS lower than a 100 watt bulb. But with amps and ohms and power clouding the issue, I don't know what is going on.
I really enjoyed this discussion, I almost felt like we were getting somewhere to once and for all solve the problem. This issue is one of the backbones of
vaping, it's not a preference question. You guys all sound like you know what you are talking about, and I think the vast majority of us do not.
Could whoever told you guys to shut up in PM PLEASE post the final word then? WHAT is the correct answer?
IS IT BETTER TO USE 1.2 ohm coils in the Billet Box or 2.8 ohm coils if the ONLY question is battery longevity? (ignoring taste, personal preference, clouds, vape, blah blah)
PS- I do not know the manufacturer of the diver type I have. I got it for below reasons.
1. the entire shaft is symmetrical all the way up, so it can be slid into any carto
tank. The only protrusions at all are the silicone wick ends (and you can trim them).
2. it is precisely the diameter of a boge carto, 9mm. It's apparently chinese made and since the chinese made all the cartos to begin with, possibly same factory made these RBA, so not a clone. Diver is more a clone in this case, since cartos were originally Chinese).
3. there is no ceramic cup. This is just a steel tube all the way down, with a wick, and a rubber grommet at the bottom with a pin in it, structured like a carto
tank, but with wick/wire replacement in the middle rather than than the rolled batting you see in a regular carto tank.
It uses resist/non-resist wires... someone said the reason was likely because otherwise, it might melt the rubber grommet at the bottom (makes sense that carto coils are also like this too).
It doesn't fit precisely in the BilletBox, I will have to dremel off the top, it's a XL carto size, the tube is just hollow at the top, so shouldn't matter. I have a bunch of them, and the seller indicated that he has had them a very long time, so they may be out of production completely. They are a clone of nothing I've ever seen (no cups).
