Glassgal,

I have no idea why it is so important to you to HAVE to know with perfect finality which resistance has the longest battery life.

I have tried to diffuse this escalating drama with humor, and with a blunt recommendation to "vape the resistance you like and just buy more batteries."

Your posts have made many of us angry with each other, when normally we have a great deal of mutual respect.

Please. Let it go. I for one, will not be so willing to help in the future. Not worth it.

Absolutely no disrespect for you intended, I have appreciated your support, but I just cannot go with that. The blame is on myself and the one I was arguing with, as we both should have taken the ...... contest privately after the first several posts and left the online ego at the door. I cannot fault another for being inquisitive. My rebuttals will be privately settled from now on, as I cannot stand to see anyone hurt, angry or ill informed. I truly feel bad for how this days pages have falling, but by no means reputing any of my early statements since it was simply Ohm's law.

Can we please take any more of the "power" struggles privately? And get back to the festive atmosphere?

That was nice to post, DJ, and very well done.

One step further even, maybe. We're all on the same side - let's act like it. No contests here.

Just like the Super Bowl (no contest).

Just Push Play.

Tap, tap, tap... Talk.

LOL, Doug needs to get some BB's to the masses ASAP. I worked a 12 hour shift hunting rascally resistance hosing up VDSL lines, and now my favorite thread has the same problem.

Bottom line, a higher resistance carto will discharge your batteries slower. All else being equal, watts determine coil temp. A 2ohm coil at 8 watts draws 2 amps. A 3 ohm coil at 8 watts draws a little over 1.6 amps. So to heat the coil to the same temperature (8 watts), a higher resistance coil is more efficient.

Few vapors will run a regular carto over 10 watts which is the max wattage the BB will run a 3 ohm coil. For RBA's, often more wattage is desired, and at 1.8ohms, the BB will drive that coil at almost 17 watts. So for something like the diver, a 2ohm coil allows one to use almost the full range available from the BB.

Remember, Doug said the BB has a 3amp limit. So to be on the safe side, 2-2.2 ohm coils for RBA coils will keep you in the safe zone.

Thanks! Off to get 2.2 resist coils then:)!!

"The battery delivers a current (amps) that heats up a coil." Yes.

The more current (amps) the faster the battery drains" Yes.

"The lower the resistance the more current will flow, the faster the battery drains"
- THIS is the question everyone's fighting over... seems logical tho...

If this is true, then a 1.8 will drain a battery faster than a 2.8... or... the higher the ohms, the longer your battery lasts.

Geezus, I think it just sunk in completely! YAY!!! Thanks Armadillo:).

Proof is in the pudding? Run one 1.8 carto through 10 battery cycles, then run one 2.8 carto through 10 battery cycles and see which lasts longer and Bob's your uncle?

I know, I know... Battery age, temp, and all those other nasty variable thingys come into play...

/sigh

Call me weird - but I jumped in here to learn about the Billet Box - but this... umm ...'sub-thread' does interest me (even though I'm just a dumb ex-truck-driver) - IS there a correct answer?

OR??? Are we simply talking a difference of seconds, or a minute or too, or a period of time that is actually meaningful in this context?

so I received so extreamly alarming news from Billet. I purchased a billet box for my wife that I have put many hours or checking the site, and watching it to get her nice Valentines gift this year. Well, I got one, paid for it and was extreamly happy.

all the sudden, I checked my account for tracking info, and i saw my order was Cancelled? huh? Now I have bought billets in the past, one for my uncle in Germany, one for my buddy Eric and one for myself of course. So I new I had to wait for the 3 month wait, to be fair to others that want a billet. [/B]And NOTE - this was a Piebald, Which I have never Bought or Owned one - Never Owned a Piebald, just the regular Model. So now I am outside of the window of 90 days and I was told by the a lady that I a NOTED as a FLIPPER??? I have been on here in ECF for a while now, and feel that I have built a very Fair and reputibable name, as well as on Facebook too. I do trade mods, and sometimes sell mods since I like to try all the new toys out and find out what is best for me as a vaper and I review them as well. The thing that gets me the most fustrated is being called somthing I am not. I have NEVER sold a Billet BOX for over retail, nor any other MOD over retail, or what I paid for it myself. I can prove that on any transaction.

I have asked for them to show me why they would add me to a Flipper list and they said they would check thier records and get back to me. I really hope this is one huge misunderstanding.

And to note, I do not only buy Billet Boxes, I buy accessories as well, and they have no problems selling me a bunch of accessories some a little while ago? But to now just take away something that I have worked, and provided a lot of my perosonal time for to give my wife a gift this hurts.

I hope there is a possible happy ending to this story, because I feel that I have been mistakenly tagged as some other person, and that this is nothing but a big mistake. Note - My ECF account is attached to my facebook account and you can always see me on facebook as Jpellis. So please feel free to see my feedback here on ECF - as PERFECT feedback - with NO flipping here at all, which its not allowed. Or if you check Facebook, modtrader or any other sites you will get the same feedback if you ask about me, or my character.

I hope to hear from the Billetbox team soon, and see if we could get this confusion cleared up.

Thank you ECF for allowing me to explain my situation...
