i started the auction at 99 cents - if i use a buy it now feature in my auctions , i usually set it crazy high as that it is my way of saying that id rather the auction play out to the end but if you want me to end the auction early and your crazy enough to pay that then so shall it be. I dont think its flipping when i set the price at 99 cents - if the bidders decide they want to take it up over retail then thats their business what they want to pay but im asking 99 cents for it.

I'm not complaining... was just curious how they let you sell any (according to someone else, it's the 2nd time you did this), but saw a post of a guy here who was banned from buying any more for his friends.

And while I think it's sad that some people who desperately want one can't get one while you sell yours, at the same time if people who are financially strained, stop vaping, or don't use a mod much sell them, those people who really want one have another way to get one (or get a less expensive used one). So I don't think what you did was so terrible, if a bit surprising, because of the 'policy' of not flipping BBs.

Yeah, I'm not sure that it would gain so much that its worth throwing out the internals it comes with now, if its enclosed anyway, i'd rather open it up to a simple but very styled, and sleek interior. Thats a bit busy imo, and kind of loses some of the charm that the unit provides at it's core. Mechanically not 'fancy', but a workhorse, and elegantly streamlined inside and out.

Excellent points. It's the only "non gauged" device that I love (SO MUCH), for many of the reasons you state here. While I love a gauge, I always have two spare sets with me, so it hasn't been an inconvenience. I probably change batteries more than I need to (like when I'm going somewhere), but there's no harm in doing that, so...

If he never changed a thing, I would still buy a 2nd one (as backup), once his production got them into all the hands that wanted one. And I wouldn't hesitate for even a second.

I feel the same way! I have 2 bb and a dna30 and still can't bring myself to do this mod. The only way I'll do it is if I can reverse it and go back to factory

Just my 2cents...

I have bought many mods, attys, etc. in my short vaping experience. I have researched each and every one of them. There have been some that I have tried for weeks and weeks before knowing that they were not for me. Each time I sold one, I sold it to an individual that I knew loved them, or wanted one and could not obtain one. Each time I sold one, I offered it for about 10% or less than I paid for it. After all, I did use it, and considered the difference in cost as the price of experience. "Rent", if you will, for using it for that period of time.

ECF has a policy in it's classifieds of a ceiling on profiteering. That is why individuals sell them on eBay. To people with more money than patience. Also, the psychology of setting a low starting price and high Buy It Now is well established to work extremely well in the seller's favor. Also the psychology of an auction setting...people get caught up in the excitement, and pay perhaps more than they normally would have. The fear of loss is one of humankind's most powerful motivators.

Also, if I want to try a new mod or atty, I buy one. Not 3 or 4, or one every 8 weeks just because I can. I also don't buy things to try, if I know I'm probably not gonna like it. Genesis attys for me, for example. Even though I have the skills to make it work, I know that I do not want something I have to fiddle with that much constantly to make work and not leak. If you know that sub-ohm is your sweet spot, why would you even purchase a Billet Box or a Woodvil that was not designed for such. Or multiples of same.

Each one of us has our own ethics, and has to live in our own skin. My personal ethics says that putting never used vaping item up for sale that has never been out of the box, and that are extremely limited editions, or, one of a kinds, just a day or so after they were available is selfish at best, greedy at worst. To put it into today's vernacular..."Dude, that's messed up!"

End 2c/rant.

Back to our scheduled programming.

I actually stood up and cheered at this one. Well done, Akdare. Well done, indeed.

You've done this so many times - if not for profit, then, it begs the question: why? Are you really that undecided about the BB that you have to buy it over and over again, only to decide it is not for you, and then accidentally sell it for 3 times the purchase price?

if the bidders decide they want to take it up over retail then thats their business

No, that is your business. This, minus the pre-pubescent grammar, is the definition of flipping.

Lol. I have two associates degrees ,a bachelor's and currently working on a Masters I know proper grammar and im not pre pubescent but I don't worry much about in a forum such as this.

Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk

Well then, it seems that your degrees have taught you that it's ok to make a buck, but hasn't taught you manners. I mean you've already got bids for more than you paid for the item. You're only in it for the buck and not considering others who have been trying to get this mod for a long time. Shame on you!

Oh yah, I have a few degrees under my belt also but that doesn't give me the right to take advantage of others at the expense of others.

Enough said from me cause I've decided I do not want to hear any more of your comments or should I say excuses.
