I don't have a pic, but I'm sure there are some on Google. I've never used sugar and cream, but it's definitely not yarn like. It's strong, but very absorbent. Worth a try, especially for smaller coils.
It's cotton. Cotton wick with a fancy name. I bought some on a whim, and i've used it in a kayfun, and it works great. Just as absorbent as cotton, but more... I dunno... Wick shaped. Lol
I have both and for the price I'll stick with the SnC. I don't notice much if any difference, and for the price the biowick ends up being more expensive than silica.
I was just thinking it might be a good choice for Diver builds, but I have yet to be successful making anything vapeable on the v1 or v2. Just wanted to throw it out there.
Ok, so how is it like, or compared to Peaches and Cream or EkoWool?

I never liked the taste of silica. I was searching for something Unbleached and untreated made of cotton, and this came up, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It works really well. I'll have to try the sugar and cream yarn. It's certainly cheaper. This biowick stuff seemed interesting to me, but I can be a sucker sometimes. I will say that I have had success with it, though. Again, just a thought. :l)
I recently started using Koh Gen Do cotton pads from Sephora. Made from cotton that has not been chemically treated, bleached, or pigmented.
Since these pads are a bit thick... first I take one complete pad and split it evenly by hand down the middle making two pads. Then you can cross cut each layer and make small wicks (see link below).
Once you figure how much you need or like it is very easy to cut same exact amount with this stuff.

SnC is cotton yarn, 4 wrapped threads @ approximately 3mm. Recommended to boil 15-20 minutes prior to use, although I don't always boil and notice no difference in taste. Biowick is about 12 strands and also roughly 3mm. A roll of SnC is under $3 and will last year's. Biowick I think cost me $15 for 10 feet after shipping IIRC.
I Like Ekowool too, but it is a silica, so not for a "purist".
I usually wrap on a .108 drill bit, which for me seems about perfect for pulling through either the SnC or the Biowick doubled over.

I have read a bit, and tho I "MAY" sound like I know a bit.... I really don't. Having said that, boiling cotton would and will introduce a variety of minerals into it, would it not... and allow for the pastability of mold if not dried substantially/properly?
Is the Sephora product beneficial because it's unbleached? Isn't hydrogen peroxide used across the board as a cotton bleaching agent?

Wonder if they don't consider hydrogen peroxide a harsh bleaching agent. But it does say free of chemical treatments... who knows for sure. I like it mainly since it's easy to work with and can cut same amount of cotton to rewick.

Only boil small pieces not the whole bundle! I would definitely use purified water. City water is probably as bad as smoking!!!

PnC = Peaches and Cream and is the Name Brand of the Yarn at Wallyworld.
If'ns ya pick it across the street make sure yer neighbor didn't use pestisideeees on it.

I'm starting to migrate over to Koh Gen Do pads myself. The wife was really curious when she saw a package arrive from Sephora with my name on it. LOL.

I use Lily's Sugar 'n Cream yarn for wick in my Spheroids. Just received some Koh Gen Do cotton, but have yet to try it. I boil my SnC for 20 minutes and let it dry very well before using. If you're impatient, you can microwave it.
