Learned something interesting to me while cleaning my Billet Box today.
Like usual, I take everything out, wipe any juice out, etc, then using both kleenex and q-tips both with and without alcohol, I wipe everything down, and pay special attention to the tracks - normal stuff. (of course add a bit of olive oil to the tracks when done).
What surprised me was after cleaning the tank, and the billet bridge pieces, I happened to take a q-tip to the large part of the billet bridge, and got some dark gunk out??? Huh? Full rinse with hot water every time I swap heads, so I *assumed* that narrow opening was clean. So I get a q-tip soaked in alcohol, and ran it in both sides as best I could, then poured some alcohol in and let it soak a bit, and poured it out through a kleenex only to find some residue on the kleenex? In other words, it appears the inside of the billet bridge needs regular cleaning, but with how narrow the opening is, I am not sure how to do a good job of it?
FYI - maybe 30-40mls of a dark vanilla 65PG/35VG juice brought it to this point.
I am wondering about the new Sabot-DDD? Will we be able to clean the interior well?
Vaping some of my limited GVC tastes very sweet at this point, possibly better than with head #3 (now on head #4). Just really surprised that a hot water rinse does not do a decent job of cleaning the interior of the billet bridge - so now what?
30-40ml of juice is a LOT of juice. Any atty will get very very gunked up and dirty after that much juice. I'd say most would be severely impaired at that point. After maybe half that in one of my Spheroids, i can barely taste the flavor and get far less vapor. I need to rewick, dry burn and swab with a bit of alcohol to get the taste back - and clean out the fluff as well.
Consider what a carto would look like after around 6-8 BB tanks of juice.
You are missing the point? The heads were being changed, and the billet bridge itself was being rinsed, etc - my point being that how would one clean the *inside* openings of the billet bridge other than with flowing water?
YAY I got me 10mm carbon fiber rods in...
My new CF drip tip...
Am I right in guessing that you matched up the radius of the tip with the corners of the Billet Box? Or was that just happenstance?
(Of course I know what the answer is going to be now...)
