Just some random thoughts while using the Billet Bridge in my Billet Box...

First, remember, I don't build coils, it's either 'carto simple', or forget it.

I enjoy using the Billet Bridge, but now on coil #6 here's what I've found:
The first tank-full is exceptional in taste and draw. Then slowly both the taste gets muted and the draw gets harder, and then (magically) I will get a leaky mess - to the point of juice dripping out of the BB.

I did try simply cleaning the mess completely (while leaving the old head intact) and putting everything back together, but learned that my BB would start making a mess right away.

So, then I completely clean the BB, B Bridge, change heads, put everything back together and rinse and repeat. I figure from new head to leaking mess (completely mess/leak free til that final moment) is 18-25ml or so.

The taste and draw is about on par with a 2 day old carto when it 'dies'. Heads cost a touch more than cartos, but (for me) last a few mls longer, and that first 6ml on a fresh head is heavenly.

FYI - I have inspected all bits and nothing is abused (always use a carto tool, so no sharp edges) - and if it was the tank - why no leaks until at least 20+ml later? So I really think it's the head getting gunked up that is somehow causing the messes. My ADV is fairly dark (vanilla type blends) 65PG/35VG - from the same vendor.

Any thoughts? Lastly am really hoping the Sabot-DDD performs even better than the B Bridge, and doesn't get the leaking issues with stock heads.

Peter, what's happening is that once the draw becomes tighter the suction form vaping begins to pull in more juice to the atty than it can vaporize, and flooding begins. Same thing will happen with the SABOT-DDD if for example the air control valve is set too tight for a given e-liquid viscosity/wick combo. Carto will do the same, though is a bit more forgiving.

DD Thank you so much for the excellent and fast service in getting my wife's BB back to us so quickly. It is now in great working order and we are completely satisfied. The extra goodies more than made up for any inconvenience. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to you and your wonderful staff for the exceptional customer service.:toast:

Now I can hardly wait for the Sabat. :D

Alright, well I decided on the Billet Bridge, so got that ordered. After some debating between it and the diver, I decided on the bridge because in all reality I bought a Billet Box so remove all of the hassle, rebuilding, carrying extra gear and supplies around of my vaping and RBAs/RDAs.... so the bridge should fit the bill nicely alongside the cartos. Now, I suppose that either the 1.8 or 2.2 Aspire heads will work fine in the BB, but is one recommended over the other?

2.2 will give you better battery life, DD recommends a 3ohm but if those are your 2 choices I would go with the 2.2
