It's not vacuum. The oring seats inside the Billet Bridge tube, just like a carto.
The first thing I don't understand is why you're trying to take out the Billet Bridge with a full tank. The limitation of the Billet Birdge is that you can't change it or take it out until the tank is empty or at least pretty low.
If you leave the oring in you shouldn't have leakage. If you take the oring off you will have leakage. If you try to take the Billet Bridge out with a full tank you will have a mess.
I guess I'm confused and don't understand what you're trying to do or why you're having problems? You have to use the bridge and understand and accept the limitations and proceed accordingly. Seems simple to me. Maybe I'm just missing something.
I dunno. I think I shall be the voice of contention here. I see no reason one can't remove the tank, full, 1/2 full, or nearly empty if it has the B Bridge in it. That makes absolutely no sense to me, and I've removed mine in all of those states with no prob. Why Snakeness? Why "should" that be an issue?
To be clear, I'm talking about removing the tank, with B Bridge installed, from the B Box. I'm not talking about removing the B Bridge from the tank (in any state of fullness of liquid).
Ok, so my vacuum theory was just conjecture and a stab in the dark as to what might be going on. It had to be an issue with either that, or the O-rings, and if it is in fact an O-ring issue, then why is it not across the board? I don't see any limitations when using the B Bridge. I may be more confused than before now.
Perhaps AR's recommendation of lubing the screw O-rings is the ticket.
I just tried to repeat the situation. I could FEEL a bit of a pull between the tank and the screw as I unscrewed it. I put pressure on the tank, and slowly continued unscrewing the screw. It was rather like burping a tupperware container. Success. (more screws in this post than Mustang Ranch, sheesh)
All that said, sorry, DPL, I will continue to make up possible scenarios in my own most UN-scientific way.
LOL!! Nahhhhhhhh ... Ya THINK DP??!!!
Whewwww weeeeeeeee LONG day for my iPhone pecking finger here!! It's NUMB! Sorta kinda like my poor little aching brain!
MWAH!!
iPhone pecker, deary? I really DO need to get out your way one of these daze.
Thanks, AR. I'll try lubing it up.
(Go ahead, Snake. That there's what's known as a softball)
DP's got a softball!!!!!!!!!! (your turn, Snakeness)
The original problem posted was the Billet Bridge catching on the o-ring when removing the brass screw and coming out with it... I don't think anyone was trying to remove the Billet Bridge intentionally with a full tank.
edit: I'd assume they wanted to remove the tank from the Billet Box.
and dammit I even confuse myself with "BB" abbreviations between the Box and Bridge. lol
edit2: oh nevermind, they wanted to clean it, doh!
B Box. B Bridge. (Language, at your service, by KD)
My brain is seriously running slow today.
AHA! You live in MY universe!
