I just understand that the Billet Bridge is in two separate pieces with nothing whatsoever to hold those two pieces together. It is a tricky proposition to remove a Billet Bridge from a full tank to say the least. Nor can I see any reason to remove a full tank when using the Billet Bridge. Any maintenance should be performed when empty or near empty.

All this seems like making a mountain out of the proverbial mole hill.

OK I was just able to remove a full tank with the Billet Bridge installed with no problem. Other than being extremely careful when unscrewing the top cap. I still see no reason to do this.

The head dies just after filling? And, before you type it, I have had a brand new head die within minutes of using it.

Time for me to get some DP edumacation....

Why does lower ohms run down batteries faster when higher ohms require more voltage? I'm seriously asking...not being an .........:)

I remember reading the 10 to 20 posts that went into answering this very question. Much of it was above my head, but it did really make sense, and those smarter than I were able to prove that all things being equal (other than the ohm rating of the head), the higher the ohm rating, the longer a set of batteries would last at a given voltage. It was also pointed out that we are only talking minutes/moments - not hours here.

Hey jcash-
Don't feel bad. Witness my email this morning from My Freedom Smokes:
Sorry about the confusion. You can return the coils to us and we'll credit your account so you can use it towards the correct ones. If you need to know which coils are correct for your tanks/clearomizers just let us know which ones you have so we can point you in the right direction. Thanks

Aspire really confused the issue when after the great response to the new Nautilus line of BVCs they re-designed the BDC coil into a BVC. They also decided to keep the name. Some sites like Sweet Vapes make it clear which ones are for which tanks. Others....don't!

Are these the wrong coils?

Good afternoon. Has anyone already tried the new Aspire BVC? What you thought best, 1,6ohm - 1,8ohm - 2,1ohm ? Thank you.

Might I chime in, aleks? I've not yet tried the 1.6s, but I do REALLY like the 1.8s in a Nautilus tank, and the 2.1s in the B Bridge-B Box. They are both the "best" for their respective applications. :)

DPLongo22 Thank you. How would you describe your feelings when using 1,6ohm?

I feel elated, cheerful, jovial, carefree, delighted, beaming, in good spirits, pleased, buoyant, radiant, thrilled, blissful, euphoric, overjoyed, in seventh heaven, on cloud nine, walking on air, jumping for joy, jubilant, chirpy, over the moon, on top of the world, tickled pink, on a high, as happy as a clam, pleased as punch, and more waggy than a dog with two tails.

The BB was designed to use coils in the 3ohm range for optimum performance. That doesn't mean that lower ohm coils can't be used. It just means that for best performance and battery life the closer you can get to 3 ohms the better it is designed to perform.

I've been using the 2.1ohm BVC coils and I think they perform very well. I haven't used the lower ohms because I don't have any reason to and I don't want to stress the batteries or change them more often.

Big ol' .......

Hi guys. Only just started using the forum but been using Billet Box for a good few months now.

This thread was a great source of information when it came to getting my grubby hands on one... and then two.... and as of today, a third. I'm a very proud owner on a Piebald RPG.

I'm one happy Zombi.

Congrats x3, Zombi!

What I got from what the smarter people said is that, lower ohms pulls more amps out of your batteries, making it last less than higher ohms :(.
