I've had mine and used it for several days and I have had absolutely no leaking. I did notice that I did have a small amount of condenstaion form behind the tank from vaping, but it wasn't enough to cause any sort of concerns. I keep this thing in my pockets, layed down on the table, upright on the table. No leaks.

Same here, a little condensation behind the tank, but no leaking. :)

I did have an "OMG moment" today - I went to have a little vape and nothing happened. I thought "OK, change the batts". Still nothing! Turned out the carto collar had gotten itself a bit loose in my pocket, turned the drip tip a bit and everything was fine! :)

Just-Shy-of-a-Week report:

The BB has been/become my go-to device. Still feels solid, getting used to the heft. Actually fits in car's change pocket, my shirt/pants/cargo pockets without a tank or tip poking out. A few minor scratches on the sides after putting in pocket with my EDC flashlight but most polished out without much effort.

Getting faster at tank level checks, minor voltage tweaks. Easier to fill than standard tank - provided you have the requisite plastic syringe/narrow bottle tip on hand. No firing issues. As ian74 & Bamrz noted, no leaks but minor condensation in area behind/under tank; wondering if that can be minimized by technique (avoid "puffing" back into tip/carto, continue draw for a second or two after releasing button, etc.). Get most of a day out of red-label AW IMR batteries at marked 5.25V with a 3.0 ohm Boge.

One of my original concerns was how this would work with a slightly recessed carto positive post. While the BB positive pin is fixed, the surround for the pin is a flexible (silicon?) material with a bit of give that the outer collar of the carto connector sits on/into. Willing to bet it has enough "give" that a slightly recessed carto pin may not be an issue. Will have to test.

Almost jumped on the chance to buy a second one, but have decided to wait for other panel options. Reliability does not seem likely to be a concern so a backup does not seem necessary, and while the carbon fiber sides are cool the possibility of getting other side materials later will be worth the wait.

I'm in the same boat. Almost ready to pre-order a second unit. I was thinking of gifting it to someone, but then I realized I don't have anyone I like enough to give one to. BUT, The idea of different side plates would be cool. Matte black would be a nice choice for me, but that would probably scratch up nicely in my pocket. Possible a woody finish, since I've never had a woody before (heh...heh...heh)

The real draw for a second unit will be for the rebuildable component. One will be the carto/tank unit, the other the rebuildable. That would be awesome. Sometimes I just like my carts.

If he can pull together a rebuild solution where I don't have to worry about leaking...then THEN I'll be in heaven.

Doug Dino (or anyone who has one and has figured this out) - what is the gauge of the Luer Lock taper tip that comes with the Billet Box?

I'd like to order some spares but don't want to get anything too big or small. I'm guessing it's close to 18 or 20 gauge at the tip but confirmation would be nice. :)

The Tip I found works the best and have been sending out is a 20 gauge. They are typically pink, but am having a batch of black ones coming in soon.... also, when things slow down a bit for me I will make another video with a really slick trick to fill up the tank by a different method not using the lure lock tapered tips.... it will blow your minds!!! (maybe not, but will at least be interesting)

Are there still going to be some available on the site tomorrow, or is it just preorders now?

There will be a handful available tomorrow. But, they will not ship until a day or two after Christmas as the carbon fiber will show up tomorrow and it will have to be shaped, and installed on the units we have ready... then it's the weekend and Christmas so post office will be closed or at least be a zoo. This will be the last chance to get one early, and from what our e-mail boxes look like,,,,, they will likely be gone in a few minutes or so. Later today I will post the EXACT time I will have them up for sale on our website (i will only post it here and not on facebook nor anywhere else), to give ECF folks the best shot at grabbing one if they like.

Oh, I meant to tell you DD, on the Billetboxvapor web page on the Buy/Pre-order page, in the "Buy now- Limited Pre-release" section you have written: "..will be available to purchase some time Wednesday the 19th, but will not ship until Jan 26th or 27th ( just after Christmas )"

You mean will not ship until Dec26th or 27th, correct?

Sorry, I'm a pain in the ..... Just thought you might want to change that

As I was telling someone else earlier, if the tip goes missing it's easy to forget the tank can still be filled the standard way, but it does work.

But now a third way? I guess as long as it doesn't involve an industrial vacuum chamber, I'm all ears. :)
