So I just punched a kanger LR and filled it then installed it in the BB. It was too short. These come from a bach I got about a year ago, but I don't think they have changed their size. The problem was that not enough of the carto came out of the top of the tank to make contact with the brass ground ring. Just wanted to put this out there

A vid of vapor production on a 0.9ohm single wick genesis style RBA on a non regulated mod using a single AW unprotected IMR 18650 vs The BilletBox variable voltage device using a tank/carto system and a pair of AW protected 16340 batteries with a low resistance boge carto used it the Billet Box tank system. IMHO Billet Box works great! :vapor: and yes i take Lung Hits

wow, that's some mega vapor on both fronts!!! Thanks for sharing that! Just saw your location, the new cnc machine is being made there... or at least assembled there,... doing something there.... hopefully on a truck leaving there!!

Been doing some sketches for a rebuildable tank recently (as in started yesterday), it's been on the things to do list for a bit, but is now getting some real thinking on bringing into the real world,,, it's not a matter of building one, that's super mega easy, it's just how the heck do i build one that doesn't leak.... that's the tricky bit...

I'll have to see if that changed, if there is an incompatible carto i need to make a list for the site. thanks for the info!

I only use this punch.
Aluminium Cartomizer Punch V4

It is more expensive than others but it has a cobalt tip. I have been giving mine heavy use (like sometimes punching up to 15 cartos a week) for over a year and my tip is still as sharp as it was the day I got it with no distortion of the carto.

Plus 1 on this, charmed. My message is non-dented carto approved. ;)

I just ordered one of these today too. You guys convinced me. Is it tard proof? I ain't never punched my own carts before.... I missed the pre-punched cartos at IKV, they sold out in like 10 minutes, but there were plenty of non-punch cartos. I just bought those and the punch.

I get like 2 weeks out of those IKV cartos. The boge ones I got recently are only getting me four or 5 days max. I need the IKV ones.

99.875% epoxy tinted black. Occasionally there will be a little pinhole in the epoxy filler and i'll fill that with a little black acrylic, that's probably what your seeing, so just a little water on a q-tip should get it.

Thanks. its mostly around the "ill" of the Billetbox logo. Its more like a smear if you can picture that. I'll try the q-tip and water.

Mr. Dino... Yeps... HAAS has a major plant about 5mins from my house. Btw if you want a test ginuea pig for whatever you're designing i'm open :) most Genesis style atty's that ive come across have one really annoying draw back... you can't lay it down. you're best simplest bet IMHO would be designing a BilletBox tank around/with the Killer 705 RBA. Can't beat the Flavor and Vapor production once you get it set up right. but you've designed the BilletBox and im sure you've got something else up yer sleeve.... can't wait to see what you come up with sir.... and yes... i'm buying another one coz the one i have now is just "seasoned" and i like back ups...

In the knife world when we say a knife "walks and talks" this describes the actions of a pocket knife when opened and closed. The walk describes the feel of the tang as it moves along the spring when the blade is opened. It should be silky smooth without dragging or any rough spots or catches. The talk refers to the sound of the knife when the blade is closed. A well adjusted knife "walks and talks" (has a nice strong snap and has blades that slide smoothly across the springs). In other words the parts move together like the proverbial "well oiled machine".

The Billet Box has this walk and talk in all manner of it's construction, from the battery fit, to it's sliding door, the positive feel of the voltage wheel, the fit of the tank. To have anything standing proud in a knife is bad, it means parts don't fit flush with each other and again the Billet Box excels, everything, each edge and joint are as close to perfect fits as is possible. The fit and finish rival that of any of my custom knives who prices near the four figure mark.

I actually had a dream about a Billet Box, in it I envisioned a steel version that had been engraved and case colored hardened with the inlays of scrimshawed ivory. Even had a scrimshawed ivory drip tip.

For any mass produced (I know that term is stretching it in relation to the Billet Box) product to have this level of fit and finish is almost unheard of today. I can buy $200 dollars knives all day and find flaws in the fit and finish on them that don't exist on the Billet Box. The only other PV that equals the tight fit is the BAM, the joint between the two halves disappears when screwed together. It is a simple tube however with a single joint. DD has managed to bring that level of fit to a much more complicated design.

Well done.

I know the main idea of the BB is ; inside tank .

But whit a 510 to 510 extension and a top screw 510 we could put any device we want

the BB could be a hybrid , inside and outside tank ?

I love the inside tank but sometime i love vape without the carto ,insert a genisis style, dripper anything

OMG - I might actually get my BB this week! After 16 days in transit, it's now showing as processed through my local sort facility, which means I could finally have it as early as today and almost certainly tomorrow... I hope :)

Took a few days off from the forum with my shiny new BB friend!

What to add? Doug, this is truly an outstanding device! The blood, hard work and worry that went into this are apparent (I know when I have worked on something cuz I leave bleed spots on it), but the overall quality and attention to detail (TAPE) are overwhelmingly evident.

She is indeed beautiful.

My most sincere thanks go to you, your wife, Monkey, and any other sundry crew members (begrudgingly, but with warm wishes and good humor to any involved postal workers) that brought this BB to my bosom!

Simply outstanding.

I do not blame you at all. And honestly, USPS works extremely well more often than not. In this case though...ugh. Most likely,it will be in my hands tomorrow, and all delays will be forgotten. No worries.
