I am still using the same saddle valve I bought last year...still working great with very little deforming of the carto.

My Raven cartos arrived this morning, flange is a full circle, won't work in tanks like the UDCT/Artemas without trimming some flats. I have three so I dropped one into a regular tank and I have to say I am impressed running it on a 3.7 mech mod. At 4 volts on the ProVari it is hitting a sweet spot, great vapor and flavor.

No gurgling, seems to be feeding very well. It is an XL which means it is too long for the BB tank. There is also a plastic sleeve inside that looks like it may be short enough not to cause a problem cutting back the outer steel tube but it may be close. I will cut one back tonite and see how it goes.

I like things simple....I solved the carto punch issue by just buying pre-punched Boge carto's....but I still punch a few now and then...
That looks pretty cool actually. I was thinking of how I could make some kind of tube-shaped punch last night, guess it's been done haha.

I wish these weren't so expensive :/

Power vaping the Raven...lol...flavor just keeps getting better. Vapor production is great too. Color me impressed...

really??? the raven is working well? well i'll be a monkey's descendant! i'll have to try it myself sometime. i guess it makes sense that it would work, since the coil would constantly be fed juice. did you get them pre-punched, or did you punch them yourself?

They only come one way...flanged XL punched. More of a big slot than a punched or laser cut hole...

have you considered using one of the quick tap qt1's? they're really cheap, and you can pick them up just about anywhere, including here:

Quick-Tap 1/4"-5/16"-3/8" O.D.: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

pbusardo did a little video review on it, and it seems to be a good, inexpensive way to punch cartos. i've already ordered one. honestly, so far the best carto punch i have is either the kir fanis one, or the one vaperfexion sells. both are a bit difficult to get and/or pricy, though.

Looks pretty cool, any issues with deforming and all?

Nice introduction lol.

The VIP punch is out of stock, even at COV :/. It is a little pricey though. How's the QT3 treating you so far?

I like the QT as it has a sort of auto stop feature. You cannot punch holes too deeply so it punches to the perfect depth. What I don't care for it the two part system (body and separate little wrench thingie) and the constant tightening and loosening of the screws to get the carto in and out. I find the $$$ VIP punch a whole lot easier, but I suppose those dollars signs had to pay for something, right? :)

The Tiny Mite looks pretty cool actually, and sounds a lot like the VIP with its carbide screw.

Think I'm going to go ahead and start ordering cartos, batteries and charger for my new BB. Got the list and suppliers ready. I've never used a tank system before, was thinking about ordering a cheap-o tank to get my feet wet. I will have to run it on an Ego 1100 batt as that's all I have at the moment...Any suggestions?

There's also the tiny mite which is similar to the vip punch, only difference is it's tube shaped.

ElectronicStix.Com · Tiny Mite Carto Punch

I had the Tiny Mite and it worked good, the only problem is the point on mine was tiny, and only gave you one size hole, where the VIP punch which I use now has a spike which gradually gets larger, so you can make a bigger hole if wanted. Just don't go too deep :)

I am still using the same saddle valve I bought last year...still working great with very little deforming of the carto.

Of all the saddle valves I had used in the past for punching this one was by far the best. No tools needed and it seemed to deform the carto less than any other saddle valve punch.

The flange on the Raven seems to be fine...slid one in my Spare BB tank and it clears easily so I won't worry about cutting it off.

My ProVari says it is 2.5 ohm btw...

So the Ravens will work in the BB without removing the flange? No problem with getting the door closed? How did you cut the carto down to standard length?

I see so many looking for carto punches. Just wondering if you have ever used the tank system like this before?
If not may I suggest, before you get you beloved BILLET BOX, you practice.
Buy a cheap ego and tank set-up, and learn how to prime the cartos, insert them, and remove them, and punch them.
It is going to be alot of help when you get your Box.
You may also want to look for this tool....Refilling Drip Tip Tool....as it seems to come in very handy for me to slide the cartos in better.
Good Luck to all new carto users and future Billet Box owners:p
