What do most people use that for? I'm intrigued by it as a way of reviewing / keeping tabs on flavors that I like. I was just wondering if most people use it, lol, and if so, what all for .. ?

Thanks... but I might not be accurate. Note I dont have any blog entries. I am guessing. Some other opinions might be of help to you as well
Some people will write a blog if they contributed pertinent information in one of the monster long threads. It makes it easier for people to find their recipes or their video.
Others may just write posts about things that don't really fit on a thread. I found this one with several chapters when I was reading Ocelot's guide to dripping and it was a very fun read!

Yes, that's a good use of a blog: to store info that either you or others might find useful, and easier to find than down in the giant threads.

I gather then the blog function will be retained. But will it be parallel to the general migration or will there be some ramp up time?
While I have your attention, I heard jokingly that members with over 10k posts will be cut-off. Funny way of putting it but will there be a limit to history retained. If so, will it be based on date or other criteria, e.g. post count? PM's we should retain or back-up ourselves as the format architecture is different. Anything else?
With conversations PM limits will be gone. Will image/media limits also?

Blogs will be retained and immediately usable once the new site is opened up for use. I'd recommend saving your PMs as Conversations handle them completely differently.
And yes, there will still be limits on the number of conversations and images you may store.
