I just got my (very beautiful) chrome w/chrome switch Bolt from HECS ...and am quite pleased! I know that the listing says it can use 18500 batteries and the 18650 batteries with the extension (which I also got.) I have several 18650s no problem, but while I have the telescope that also would take 18500, I haven't yet bought any, and don't anticipate being able to for another week. Not really a problem, since I can use the 18650s I do have.

But here is my question (finally!) I have several 18350 batteries. I have discovered that by using 2 battery spacers (good ones that came with my Xtar charger) that the 18350s fit fine and appear to work fine. I was wondering if I could use this set up as a stop gap until I can order the 18500s. There's no danger with this, is there? I don't use LR under 2ohm or dual coils . I just wondered if it's okay for when I want a smaller profile at times. Thoughts?

Thanks for the replies. The spacers I'm using were specifically made for use with rechargeable batteries and have an insulating material on the tops and sides...only the middle contact points (quite small) are metal. They screw together, so there is no rattling. I have gathered from the responses that it's okay to use the 18350 with these spacers (not stacking batteries...I never do that) for now. The battery life isn't that hot with those little batts, but good enough for some of the time. Appreciate the reassurances.

I will probably post a picture of the chrome Bolt with my other mods in the "Show us your Set Up" thread after my Lavafire fully mechanical mod arrives sometime at the end of next week. :) The Bolt is a much more beautiful mod that it appeared to be in most of the pictures I've seen of it online. It's quite solidly built...I'm liking it! The horn button is a bit stiff compared to what I'm used to, but not bad. I'm sure either it'll "break in" or I'll get used to it. Nice mod! And was certainly priced right at only $28 including the extender tube!

Im personally not a fan of stacking batteries. You'll get lots of opinions, but unless you know an expert that you trust who gives you the green light, Id go with the safety route and just use your 18650 until you can get some more batteries. Especially considering you have the extension. It may be a half inch longer for a week, but you can vape with peace of mind. I too have both the Telescope and the Bolt. I only use an 18500 on the bolt, and then my 18350s and 18650s on the telescope.

Again...I'm not stacking batteries. Safety is the biggest reason. The other is I am not into HV vaping. I am using a single 18350 in the Bolt without the extension installed using two professional (specifically made) spacers screwed together. They are insulated on the sides and top and bottom...only the contact points are exposed bare metal. It works fine. Logic tells me this is perfectly safe since these spacers were made to work in a battery charger. Hardly the same thing as using something like..say...nickles!
