How many volts can you mnke batt produce at full charge under 0.17 ohm load?

I think that depends on what device he is using... voltage drop varies with different mods, as I'm sure you know. Probably close to 3.1v-3.4v after voltage drop is my guess, depending on the mod.

IMO you really don't have to worry about blowing your face off when sub ohming... People automatically assume when you go over the amp limit, the battery explodes... What you should be worrying about is burning your house down after you tax your batteries and then throw them on the charger. I vape at .16-.18 ohms daily on Sony VTC4s, I go through 5 of them through the day, draining each to 3.7v-3.8v... properly maintaining your batteries and making sure you don't tax them is key. A good charger is also worth spending money on.

People that do this are risking serious injury. Devices like this give responsible vapers a bad name. Good luck with that time bomb. I will stick to my boring and lame 1.8-2.0 ohm setup.

Hang on now, really, so what happens with your lame 1.8 ohm build if it develops a dead short? Same thing me thinks, unless you are using a regulated mod. A dead short is a dead short whether your build starts at 1.8 ohms or .17 ohms, but the person with the .17 ohm build probably has a better chance of disconnecting and averting a mishap because they probably have a much more capable battery, with a much higher continuous amp limit and way more burst amp limit. People who use standard ohm builds usually are more lax about battery safety concerns and don't focus on the best and most capable battery, so are generally at a higher risk for disaster when an accident happens. So who is giving vapers a bad name?

Well those who sub ohm try to have as big as buffer as possible on their continues amp limit, and if only using half or two thirds of their continuous amp, that's a pretty good buffer, especially when calculated at 4.2 volts, which ain't gonna happen under load, then you look at the Burst amp limit, which is usually about double the continuous limit, and that's the real value to be concerned about, vape is more burst application than continuous application. So looking at the burst if you have something that you use in 5 to 10 second intervals, that uses 24 amps on a battery that is 30-50 amp continuous, 60-100 burst amp capable, one really isn't taxing that battery very hard. are they?

Putting any small Li battery under that kind of load will result in serious voltage sag, probably in the range of 1V or more. The problem with voltage sag is that going below 2.5V has the potential to cause internal damage to the battery, up to and including the precipitation of conductive metallic Li bridges. Do this enough times and the battery will develop an internal short, so the next time you hit that fire button or put it on a charger, it will heat up and potentially vent explosively.

Cab we really say vent explosively... I mean I've never seen a battery vent, or explode for that matter, not that this has anything to do with the kind of Bayside were talking about but I, allegedly, saw someone put a metal bar across the terminals of a car battery and let it go to it was finished. It wasn't a crazy explosion, it was more of a melt down with some sparks.

Neways, exactly how bad is it when your vtc or any similar battery, vents? Bring on the craziest pics n stories you got...

That being said I would life to avoid the situation entirely however I would lie to know how far people are successfully pushing their builds, and also, is it worth it if your already running 0.5 0hm on the daily to drip to 0.02 or 0.03?

Saw a video of .1 ohms on youtube. That just...it looks way to much lol. Didn't even look enjoyable.

.17....damn that's crazy sir.

I am thinking that "cloud chasing" is not about vaping. It's about showing off. Nothing more. Or I just don't get it. When we were smokers, nobody tried to blow the biggest clouds.:confused::confused:

I see your point but its just because you dont get it

Of course the big clouds is part of the fun... But mainly its because the flavor (from a good build) is as big as the clouds, you cannot compare it with the normal setup, the taste is strong and clean and it really cover the tastebuds going in aswell as coming out and then the nic kick is much more satisfying

The fun part is that you can compare clouds with friends, make vapetricks and in cool evenings you can freak out the neighbors by blowing a cloud into their hedge and make it look like its burning... Ive had a few good laughs by doing this :p

The only flavor rush so big I can almost bite it is from a sub-ohm cloud chaser build. Zero nic satisfaction is another sub-ohm perk. I supra-ohm nic and sub-ohm 0 nic depending on mood; two very different experiences. I only cloud chase at home for personal amusement, never to show off; not that there is anything wrong w/ that. I like the taste of the big dense flavor clouds and like to blow dense Os.

They may take away my nic but doubt if they can take my VG+PG+flavor+batt+switch+coil+wick clouds.
