I have both and found the chuck is solid and performs really well but, it fell once and the button is ready to give up on me :( after sending an e-mail about the repair and cost, I got no reply...

I went with the bullet and found it pretty nice, the recessed button is REALLY nice, no misfires in the pocket. I tend to keep it close.

Both are solid units, it just boils down to the button for me. Chuck= at home tank. Silver Bullet= on the go pv.

I hope that helps a little, just my thoughts:)

I wanted to bump this because i was surprised by the lack of response. I guess maybe i should go into more detail. I'm looking for "that mod", you know the one. I want an all in one mod. I was 3.7 and 6 volt. 5v too would be nice. mega battery and possibly passthough would be nice since i have a healthy vaping problem at this time. I'm pretty sure the SB is for me considering what the battery plus PT option. Is there a better option out there I haven't heard of? What do you guys think?

I've been at this for 11 months now. Sent a ton of money and do not regret on red cent. I have owned most if not all the PVs out there. It comes down to what works for you. We are all individuals with individual needs, desires, preferrences and such. So my comments are really personal to me. Hope they give you some insight, but your own experimentation will prove most reliable for you.

I have ended up using the SB and GLV the most, followed closely by the BB when away from home. At home I have a BB passthrough.

The SB gives me the variety of switching back and forth from 6v to 3.7v. Up until now, that the LR510s and LR 801s are available, I never liked 3.7v. But these LR attys have brought me back. I've been on the SB at 3.7v with an LR510 for about two weeks and loving it.

The GLV at 5v is a kick ... PV. As reliable and dependable as anything I've used. Very solid PV.

Like the SB the BB is just a solid dependable unit. Never a problem with either of AltSmokes' devices. The BB at home with the passthrough is just a wonderful relazing experience.

I don't have a Chuck, mainly because of the way the button sticks out. But, for me that one thing caused me to not get a Chuck.

Ok,

This is also my question, which one? Yes, I'm new, but I've been doing my research and trying a number of things. Right now, I've got 2 510's with regular, sucky batts and one mega batt along with 2 901's. eGo parts on order (2 batts, cone and 2 attys). I know this will still not be enough. I get 1.5 hours out of the standard 510 batts and 3 hrs out of the megas. The charging is killing me. I need something that I can 'smoke' all day.

I really don't care what it looks like-no need for custom graphic's, just a reliable vape. That being said, I've heard and read of problems with the switches on both the SB and the Chuck. If anyone here has both (and I know there are a LOT of you), please let me/us know what you think of both. Bear in mind, I was a HEAVY smoker (3 packs a day)

Thanks,

GB

I got a SB mostly cause I'm not a patient person and didn't want to wait 3-4 weeks for a chuck (though I don't doubt that I'll get one at a later time), Madvapes sells 18650 3.7v 3000mah batteries for $10 and it's lasted me two days before I noticed a drop in vapor, even then it was still working. The button on the SB is nice, there's no worrying about setting it off in your pocket. So if you want to travel with it in a pocket I would say get a SB, but for mostly home use either would really be a great choice; outstanding reviews on both.

i can't say enough good stuff about my SB . it is rock solid ! the button is silky smooth and there never a doubt about it firing when pressed and never a worry about it firing in my pocket .

this sucker is on the large side but really feels great in the hand . the quality of the machining is top notch .

one thing i love about it is that i can plonk it down anywhere and it just sit's there . rock solid and pretty as all hell . waiting for me to grab it again .

no wonky threads, perfection in switch design . if the US military ever designed a pv , it would be a silver bullet (would probably cost $10,000).
you could use this as a weapon !!!

yea it's that good . did i mention that i'm a happy silver bullet owner :)

cheers Woody

thanks so much for your all of your thoughts on this. I appreciate you time! I'm going to get a SB. My reasoning is...

3.7v and 6v

Button reliability.

Passthrough optional (additional purchase but hey... it's there)

Timeframe. My Janty V3 button started acting a little wonky and i need to send it back. i need something in the meantime and can't wait for the chuck at this time. I think I'll get a chuck too, just not this time.

thanks again!
