So I just ordered a few Resurrector Cartomizers and I await them to come in the mail. What I wanted to ask is, are there any cons of using them? For example will my battery life be shorter? A greater chance of my batteries getting fried? I have read very positive things about them, but I also want to be informed on the possible set backs I might receive.

they will shorten batt life but not appreciably...seemed it was less than an hour overall
they hold 2ml of liquid so be sure they are completely filled or they will scorch the filler
they are low resistance, which means they are hot...keep 'em topped up and wet at the first sign they are getting dry...or they will scorch the filler
they ROCK...and they do use up juice a bit faster so see above...or they will scorch the filler
out of my first 15, IO had one that seemed the filler was looser than the rest...it was and would not hold juice properly and kept leaking...so, I just tossed it
did I mention they ROCK, are hotter than most and must be kept wet or they will scorch the filler

Nunnster, I also recently ordered/received the resurrecters last Thursday. What I found (and Andrew of CCV so kindly walked me through), is that it is MOST IMPORTANT to get these suckers filled well ... what that means is using the syringe he provides and then doing a condom fill to make sure the whole thing is saturated. I've always used the Boge 3.0 on my eGo, so these were a bit hotter than I was used to ... BUT ... the vaper production and TH is outstanding ... and in the last couple of days, I've adjusted to the hotter hit. You really will love them. If not, send Andrew at CCV an email ... he has the best customer service of ANY supplier out there.

Only downside I've experienced with the Ressurectors is they dislike small (10440 and some 14500) protected batteries. Apparently the low resistance ups the amperage into the range where it "may" trip the protection circuit on them. However using the AW IMR batts is a blast on them, and I absolutely love the vapor and TH I get from it.

Ok I will thrown my hat into the ring as well with these....

WillieB is right the CCV "Resurrector" and the SmokTech "Rejuvenator" the exact same as the SmokTech 1.7 Mega XL.

I believe these were/are the rejects from manufacturing of the SmokTech 2.0 ohm Megs XL's.
SmokTech didn't want to just toss these as during the manufacturing process produces quite a few rejects, so instead of tossing them and taking a loss. They simply renamed/packaged them and sold them to suppliers/dealers at a discount hence the low price point everywhere these can be purchased.

I used to swear by these for a long time as they were cheap, worked well with what I had and lasted a long time (upwards of about a week each one). But my thoughts on these quickly changed when I discovered the joy of adding more VG base to my DIY juices. I use a 60/40 PG/VG blend of juice viscosity now and these don't last as long anymore. they degrade quickly in about a day or two of consistent use. What happens is they CLOG because My juice is a little thicker than my 80/20 pg/vg juice I used to make and vape.

I switched to the real deal (Not defect/off shoot) SmokTech 2.0 ohm mega XL's. These are made with much better coils/filler inside and do NOT clog like the 1.7's did. My 2.0's again last me a week each, and I rotate two at a time as I fill two in the morning, and switch each out as the day goes on. when I am driving home I am half way through the second one I filled till I get home and just fill them up again. I am very happy with the 2.0 ohm cartos, they cost about $.50 more each but I am happy to pay it as it saves me the aggravation of having to deal with clogged cartos after only a day with the others.

So in closing if you vape thinner juice the 1.7's are ok. If you like big phat clouds of vapor, then the real deal SmokTech 2.0 ohms are the way to go.

Again this is just my opinion, to each his own.

I don't know. Seems a tad far fetched. And Smok doesn't really name them, they just note the ohms. At MadVapes the 1.7 and the 2Ω are exactly the same price. A juice problem could simply be a ohms/heat problem.

I only use a little glycerine in my juice and have been quite happy with the 1.7Ω. I'll try a 2Ω on your recommendation.

Oh well. :)
