I have to give a shout out to Rick (muldrick) for his creation of The Copper. This is a mechanical 6 Volt Battery mod. He put a lot of thought into it, all the way to which atomizer works best. The RN4081 (my first one) atomizer just looks like it fits this device, too.

This is the best vape session I have had. I recently went to 0 nic (not completely), and noticed a lack of throat hit on my 510s, but this brings it right back and then some.

I can’t say enough about this device. It is my first high voltage, but it is a hand-made piece of art—and I think the least expensive 6V mod, too. Go onto www.atmosusa.biz and get one for yourself. It takes 2 rechargeable CR2 batteries for the 6 volt vape, but also can be a 3.7 vape with a longer battery as it will take the 14500.

I got the roughed up version, and it is very cool.

Thanks Rick.

I don't know if he puts a finish on the rounded version, but you can get rid of the brass smell on your hands by getting a can of spray gloss finish and that really helped me enjoy mine more.

I still get lots of comments at work about looking like im carrying around a pipe bomb and you cant really put it in your pocket, so I'm thinking of picking up the prodigy for a more finished look and carrying potential, but yes the copper is my favorite vape to date as well.

I really like this mod but the only problem I have is the CR2 batts. They are hard to find and don't seem to be protected... I went looking for them and could only find them at DX. That could be a problem... But other than that I would really think about one of these.
I wonder if you could use RCR123 batts in it? does anyone know if you can?

I doubt it. I'm sure Rick would say if the rcr123a could be used in the Copper. They are more than likely too big. They're a decent amount bigger than the CR2s.

I find it's much harder to find 3.0v RCR123s than the CR2s. Only one brand of them and they cost 3-5x's the CR2s. You're right that the CR2s aren't protected though. That's a definite negative.

I too love my copper, but I use the 14500 only. I find the 6 volt to be harsh over time. The 14500 last all day and I use it a lot, refilling the cart at least 2 dozen times a day. Also an old nylon flashlight holder with a belt loop makes the perfect carry case. I took one from a nine led cr 123 light from harbor freight.

I love my Copper, too. It's all I have ever known, but I sure do like it! I ordered another today because California is getting ready to make ecig devices illegal here and a bunch of atomizers, trying to stock up for the ban. Grrrr.... this just irks me to death, just when I'm down from 2 packs a day to 2 cigs a day with this thing in only 10 days. And the cigs taste horrible, I don't know what possesses me to even smoke those. yuk.

Anyway, the customer service is really great there, too. I chose the Copper because it was recommended to me and they were right about what I would want and need. I'm using the Cr2 batts in it, I just don't pull as hard if I don't want the throat hit, which I am not that crazy about.

All in all, I am glad this is what I have and the price is certainly right for an indestructible device.

(I have no affiliation with that company other than buying from them.)

I was out looking for some 18650 batteries for my new Chuck, and while I was in WalMart, I figured I would run over to the photo area near electronics just to see if they had any. No dice.

But they did have CR2 batteries. So did Radio Shack. Check them out.

Were they rechargeable though? I've never seen rechargeable CR2s at a store before. Just the one time use ones.

I do believe they were.

And they are more expensive than getting them from China, but you save on shipping, and you don't have to wait for weeks to get them.

Deal xtreme is out of the chargers right now, too. I ordered rechargeable batteries, and got those Friday, charger is coming later... don't know when though. Luckily the batts they sent were already charged and I could use them.

I had to buy some batts at Walmart and they are super expensive, 9.98 for 2 of the cr2s, but they last 3 full days for vaping almost nonstop the whole time, except when I was sleeping. Even so, they didn't have the rechargeable ones.

I ordered a charger with 2 rechargeable batteries here:

www dot laptop-keyboards dot org for about 10.00 but the shipping is 13.00.

I'm desperate to get a damn charger.

I also bought cr2 batteries here for a dollar each, but they are not that great, work for about a day or so. Make sure you have extras on you if you are out and about for a long time, they might punk out on you.

www dot BatteryJunction dot com

Shipping was not too bad, about 5.00 for 10 of them, I think.

I've spent more on freaking batteries than all my supplies combined for vaping, I think.

Well the 14500 batt is just about like a really really charged manual battery on a 510. It will last you several times longer though. They are 3.7v also.

Yea I agree with you all about deal extreme. I ordered several 16340s for my SD then a few 18650s for the Prodigy and the SB and a charger for all of them. That was on Sept 5th. I just got a shipping notice the other day. They didn't tell me if all of my order had shipped either. I am expecting to get batteries and no charger for them... That would suck. That's the only problem with these mods is finding the batteries here in the states. When you order from china sure they are cheap but it takes forever and a day...

I got my copper now and it's great! I will add my review, I was thinking of getting the rounded2 version but over all I thought I liked the design of the rounded version alittle more due to it's more simplistic look but it was a hard choice because they all look really great IMO.

Im extremely impressed with the build quality and thought that went into this. I have read people saying that it is basically just brass fittings from the hardware store and I was suprised to find that there is actually alot more to it than that. The holes in the brass are very well machined. all the inside parts look very solid from what I can see(the top doesnt come off) through the tube. The brass spring is soldered on very strong with three soldering points and all the edges have been filed down and it all looks very nice and is nice to hold but still has a little homemade charm to it I really like.

It is extremely solid! This aspect of the over all reliability and simplicity of the design is what sold me on it over all the other mods. This thing feels bulletbroof and it is alot smaller than I thought it would be, also it pushes in very easily and I have no problems with vaping with one hand at all! it is not uncomfortable to push it in just pushing with your lips(lol).

The hits are massive and I love it but I guess thats with any 6v mod. Not even considering it's price, it is a very very great mod and other than looking less polished and less whimsical as some of the more expensive mods im sure it can hold it's own with any other mod and feature wise it is the perfect mod for me. I have been vaping like crazy for 3 days now and have had zero problems at all.

I want to say thanks to rick for making a great product! Im actually forming an emotional attachment to it:oops:
