I must respectfully request that no one share that particular tidbit of information with my husband. I have informed him that this is a very, very expensive habit but entirely necessary for me to stay off analogs. If he were to learn how cheaply one could vape, my access to new toys might be somewhat curtailed.

Nice.

I think we (all of us with husbands, wives, or partners) know that they will generally give carte blanche for awhile in the hope that this will really work and they won't have to put up with our stink, or worry about our death from cancer any longer.

Kudos to you for taking full advantage, and keep up the charade as long as you can.
No better way to aquire more and more toys as quickly as you can.
:D

I used to smoke a carton in 4 or 5 days and 30ml lasts me 2 weeks, so I it's 3 cartons to me.

Have to figure days/bottle.............vs. days/carton

I used to smoke a pack a day.

I now go thru about 10 ml of juice in a week.
I do vape a lot because I can do it in my office.

I started out with medium. I am now at low.

I too just began my Vaping journey with a little ebay income action.

The orders LITERALLY JUST SHIPPED a few hours ago...

JantyUsa:
2*x HVY SHAG/CIGAR LIQUID - SH $19.90
2*x RY4 LIQUID - H $19.90
2*x CLASSIC REFILL CARTS (qty 5 per pack) $8.00
1*x JANTY STICK V2 $79.95
I also ordered 5 BE112 atomizers for about $30.00 from BestEcig.

Then, in realizing I was just a few components away from having both the Janty Stick AND a BE112 (generic 801 / penstyle) I added a BE112 battery and usb charger for an extra $10ish from BestEcig...

Did I make a good decesion?

I spent about 2 weeks agonizing over what models I should get...

I hope tis will last me a LONG time...

Thanks in advance for everyone's feedback.

I've spent around $1800 in the last 12 weeks, but that included the original Smoke-51 (expensive), an NJOY (also expensive) and a spare Smoke-51 (expensive again). Then I got 3 DSE801s and an enhanced kit 501, plus lots of juice and empty cartridges.

So my expense was strictly by choice. Had I done it the "right" way, I would have learned about e-cigs online first, read through these forums, and probably just started with a 501 kit for 100 bucks with extra juice.

I smoked 2 packs per day @ around $4.70 per pack x 84 days (I quit analogs the first day) = $790 saved on analogs so far.

My e-cig expenses have stablized now (well I do want to try the Prodigy and SD but I digress), so based on that I should break even in around 3 months or so, which I consider perfectly acceptable, especially since I will more than make up that time with my new longer life (cannot wait to see the e-cigs of the future!)

You made a sound decision, gyrixx. I applaud the fact that your first e-cig is, in essence, a mod. And, the JS V2 *should have* some of the earlier bugs worked out. Adding the 801 batteries is a flawless strategy and not just because it's also my strategy. LOL

As far as it lasting a long time... well, these devices aren't time-tested and they aren't built to last. The e-cig market is dependent upon the Chinese manufacturers who have no incentive to build a Cadillac. It's just the way it is until competition arrives. As you know, your JS is guaranteed for 6 months. That *is* a long time in all things e-cigs. You WILL be buying atomizers. I'm averaging about a month with my attys -- that's in the JS and in the standard RN4072 (801) pen style.

Good luck and good buy. =)

Glad to hear!

I suppose time will tell... and it's looking like this Friday (at the latest) I'll finally know what it's like to actually vape!

I can't tell you how annoying it's been reading hundreds of posts and watching tons of videos with people all talking about it... and not actually having ANY experience...

The life-time of these units, however, is understood. The basic engineering / construction of these units is fairly fundamental, in fact I suppose with at little research I could make my own "atomizers" etc... but the Last lingering question I really have lies in 2 different terms / patents / concepts proposed since the conception of the e-cigarette...

I believe the first design actually hinged around ultrasonic technology to vaporize the liquid and NOT a heating filament.

That being said, I've come across NO information regarding actual ultrasonic vaporizers instead of heating elements.

The only thing that got my hopes up at first was the term used by Janty "Ionizer" instead of "Atomizer".

In theory, by using ultrasonic technology (pretty much identical to the way some humidifiers work) we would have almost NO burn-out in our "Atomizers" (should be called vaporizing elements I'm sure :)) because at no time would the liquid actually be in direct contact with an element.

The ultrasonic wave would be pointed at the very center of the wick in each cart and wala... instant vapor...

Enough rambling...

I would have added a BE112 pass through, a better vape than the battery and inexpensive. They sell one they call the USB battery for $10.30 or the pass through kit complete for $19.95 with juice and atty. It's an auto switch, but mine works good and is reliable.

Nice,

I basically panicked because I realized that I had the Janty Stick from Janty... and then 5 atomizers ordered from BestEcig...

All i needed was the battery and charger from BestEcig and I would effectively have another E-Cig altogether...

Hence my impulse buy at the end.

Realistically, after reading TONS of forums and reviews, I feel that the JS was the best option for me. It looked the most robust, had a built-in usb mini port and could use generic 801 atomizers...

but for an extra 10 bucks I just couldn't resist...

Who knows how long the BE112 battery will last... how well...

CAN'T WAIT TILL FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

$500 bucks and most of it is still shipping to me today. BUT, I sold an 801 gift set today to the first person I talked to about the e-cig :) But,then I had to go do my real job for the rest of the day :(...BUT, the client was even willing to wait until my shipment arrived :) ,But the Feds may start confiscating e-cigs at any moment :( But, so is life, tis' better to live at full speed then to sit on the sidelines! :D

I (heart) e-cigs!
