The cure to spitback!

Hey guys,

A very simple solution for all you folks having a hard time with spitback...

A simple more forceful drag almost eliminates it! Try it for yourself, take a slow light 3 second drag and notice how much spitback you get, then take a more powerful drag and boom problem solved!

So the science behind is is the suction force, but I can't quite figure out why, what do you guys think?

Probably from a somewhat increased cooling effect on the outside of the coil. Just my guess anyway. I usually just decrease wattage or tc temp slightly until I hit the spot where spit back decreases.

The steamcrave aromamizer has a splashback guard and even that doesn't cut it if you're taking slow drags...

I expect supertrucker is suggesting greater diameter rather than greater length. A gap between wick & coil encourages spitback.

The faster you draw the more air you move over the coils. That cools them a bit, but not much unless the coils are running hot by design.

The steamcrave aromamizer has a splashback guard and even that doesn't cut it if you're taking slow drags...

Love my Aromamizers and I use regular drip tips. No juice gets into my mouth. It does snap, crackle and pop a bit though, specially with clean coils and after a re-wick. Same thing happens with both slow and fast draws, but I imagine faster draws would reduce the noise a bit

But the diameter I always ensure to make it around 60/40 resistance and it still occurs so that's not the cure in my opinion...

spitback mostly occurs when the temperature is too low to vaporize the juice, or there is too much juice in relation to the cotton

so most solutions to spitback are either to increase temperature or use more cotton
