"unregulated "aternative" by the big companies to profit off ignorant & naaive, esp young ppl getting hooked"

How about educating young people on the importance of English class?

Ugh Honestly? Can't people fight something that is actually causing harm? What about serious problems hurting children? Like oh how about child abuse? Wouldn't that be a better thing to fight? I do believe abuse and neglect extends it's tentacles into more children's lives, rather than e cigarettes. Or even regular cigarettes for that matter.

The only major danger of vaping that I've found is the lost revenue for the pharmaceutical industry and tobacco industry. Both of whom, on this particular front, can go suck it as far as I'm concerned.

However, both of them consider it serious enough to lobby against the e-cig.

There are a lot of dollars at stake.

It occurs to me that some of this is probably envy too. Big pharma had the same opportunity to invent this device first and make all the money off of it but they didn't. Tough beans.

Maybe if the anti-tobacco people knew anything about smokers and what makes them tick, they would have invented something better than suicide pills and rash-patches. Maybe if they were less obsessed with getting people off nicotine and more obsessed with getting them off the cancer-causing toxins, they wouldn't have failed us so badly (by "us" I mean people who have wanted to quit smoking and tried all their stupid dangerous cessation drugs).

The worst atrocity that our children face is the one very few will acknowledge and even fewer are willing to talk about. Human trafficking. Every year in the US 100,000 children are SOLD into trafficking rings, mostly into sex trades. Yet the "save the children" crowd ignore that and would rather ban toys in Happy Meals, and try to take flavors away from adults.
