I don't mind spending money on something (device, cartos, juice) that I need. There are certain things that I need to keep me away from cigarettes. And then there's the "want".
My husband was in the housing industry and the recession hit us hard. Our daughter is in college and tuition is now due. My only vv device broke. What do I do... I got a nice little Christmas bonus from work. We have emergency savings that help when we come up a bit short. I can't afford to collect mods or try out the newest device, no matter how budget friendly it may be. I got caught up in the Lavatube fever. When my beloved Army tank went down I had to use my backup 3.7 box mods. Now they have served me well. Godzilla, who builds the Foxy box mod builds a great mod. But since going vv, a 3.7 device just doesn't do it for me using it 100% of the time. I had to make a decision. Do I send my AT back for a repair and upgrade? It is going to cost me a bit. Do I just order the VV madvapes box? Or do I just go ahead and get a Lavatube? I had trouble sleeping that night, turning it over in my mind. The next day, on impulse, I ordered the VV Madvapes box, sent my AT back and also ordered the Lavatube kit! (If I'm going to do it, might as well go all out!)
The Madvapes box came a few days ago, along with a nifty voltmeter (I freaking love this thing!) This thing is really great! It's just a plain black box but it does what it is supposed to do (for the last week at least). Now I'm feeling guilty about the Lavatube. Even if it is a "budget" device, I have no business ordering it when the future is uncertain and I just wrote a check for tuition. Do I need it or do I just want it?
One of the reasons I got into vaping was to save money. Hmmm I wasn't a heavy smoker. I spent around $15 a week on cigarettes. Three packs a week. I haven't kept track but I don't think I'm saving anything.
The Lavatube came today. I didn't open the package. I marked "return to sender" on it and dropped it back in the mail. It was hard to do. The fact that I got the kit with the non-aw battery made it a bit easier but dang it! I wanted to play with it!
It all comes down to this. The madvapes vv box does exactly what I need it to do. Along with the voltmeter, I've had a ball using and playing with it. These batteries (2 14500s) last me all day and according to the voltmeter, it's still hitting at the same setting.. all day long. There's no neat little button to push but I'm OK with the wheel. When I get my Army Tank back I'll be more than set.
I'm satisfied with the decision I made. I may put back some money here and there and save up and get a really nice device.. I'd like (want) to have a provari but I'll need to save and not just impulse buy. It's so tempting with the money just sitting there in the bank.
Now with all this said... I can't promise I won't throw my hands up and just order it tomorrow! LOL But I'm going to try not to.
