We're working on an ECF member new product testing program.

Any suggestions as to how we can improve on this and our discontinued products giveaway program would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rick and Chris,

I signed up to be a Tester. I love trying new things, and enjoy being descriptive in feedback, so I'd be happy to try to be of assistance to you... and there's also the benefit of getting a New Toy. :p Thank you for this opportunity.

I can't think of any suggestions for improvements right now, as I think your Contest was a great way to do one, but if something comes to me, I'll certainly pass it along.

Lisa still hasn't gotten back with me since I gave her the Gift Package. Guess she's busy with Work and Home Repairs from the Flooding. I'll give her more time.

New Product Testers Wanted
We're working on an ECF member new product testing program. We are solicited by e Cig manufacturers, OEMs & suppliers every day to sample their latest and greatest products. If something catches our eye, we’ll pay the shipping and they'll usually send us 5-10 pcs for testing. As the largest group of well-versed vapors in the world, we'd like to get your opinion on some of these products. If you would like to be part of this program please go to vapordogs.com and create an account so you will be ready to order when samples are announced. They will go fast and we only ask that you pay your own shipping. We have three choices, $2.50 domestic 1st Class Flat Rate no tracking, Priority and Express Overnight with tracking and delivery confirmation. We cannot guarantee 1st Class Mail delivery but in three plus years we've never had a lost piece.
:rules:
We're going to create a category at Vapordogs.com at the bottom, left side Nav Bar called ECF Member Specials. I'll create the trial product with a brief description and our shopping cart inventory control will limit the number of samples available, one sample per member please.

Any suggestions as to how we can improve on this and our discontinued products giveaway program would be greatly appreciated.

This is a Mega Twix two tank atomizer and will fit most 510 threaded batteries. Jomo suggests a 650mA batt or higher for best results. Bear in mind, these trial products at this point are not even close to being added to our product line. I've tried one and am going to hold back my opinion at this time. We'd like to hear your unbiased thoughts and please post them at the Doghouse. These are LR attys so please be careful with the VV batts. We use our eGo 1100s for everything; testing and day to day vaping, at around 4V they power our equipment just fine. These attys do come in the original packaging and with fairly good directions. Good Luck! Go Vapordogs!!!

This is a sample image, the packaging we have is a little different.

Thanks... I'm sure it will be just fine, but I just had to ask... :D (and after all, Beggars can't be choosey!!)

I did a quick search on it before ordering, and it looks really interesting with the 2 tanks. I like to mix a couple of flavors together sometimes, but I do it in a smaller bottle first, and I DIY a lot of my juice now, too.

I have a bunch of different RBA type stuff that is piling up because I haven't gotten around to learning how to make the coils/wicks yet.. .LOL!!
And why bother when the stuff with replaceable heads are SO easy to change??

I am really looking forward to trying it out, and will give you a full report when I do... :thumb:

Hi Guys! I just got my MegaTwix today and it is going to look awesome on my Vamo. As luck would have it, I just ordered two juices with the intent of mixing them together and can't wait to see how they taste in the MegaTwix.

Thanks again! This is my first dual coil, so I really appreciate this opportunity to try out something new. Will keep you posted!

P.S. How did you know I like pink? :D

Hi Vg

Please post your reviews here and anywhere else you think the information might be useful to Forum Members. We'll let this roll for a bit longer until all results are in and analyzed.

Thanks again

Hi Rick and Chris (and Biscuit  woof woof),

I received my MegaTwix yesterday, but my VTube died the day before, so I cannot use the MegaTwix just yet the way I know I'll want to. I really like the Design, the Clear Tubes, and the Blue Drip Tip that mine came with. And it's easy to Fill, too. It works OK at 3.3V, and I was able to test it at 5V (a little too hot for me).

I ordered a Mod PV with VV from 3.0V to 6.0V and VW from 5W to 15W. I should have it late Wednesday, or maybe Thursday (today is Tuesday), so I can really light up this MegaTwix, most likely somewhere near 4.3V, to get the Flavor I like. Of course, that Flavor will also depend on the E-Liquid, so there'll be a Report on what Voltage for what Juice. But so far I love it, and because it works at 3.3V, this should please folks with something like an eGo-T or eGo-C, without VV. Most eGo's are 3.3V, and the Atomizers are 2.4Ω... at least the true Joyetech ones are. Since 3Ω will draw less Power than 2.4Ω, any eGo 3.3V Battery should work. I just like a higher Voltage than that, for more Flavor and more Vapor.

Once I have my new PV, I will use the MegaTwix exclusively for a while, and I'm absolutely certain that it will get a Glowing Report. This is going to be Fun!!!

I'm also going to PM you with the details of my new PV. I think you might want to stock it, especially for this MegaTwix.

EDIT:
I was wrong about the Ohms. Each Head is 3.8Ω, so a two-deck assembly comes in at ~1.9Ω. This will definitely effect how well a 3.3V divice, like an eGoT/C will work. A 3.3V eGo may bot have enough Power to run it as well as people are used to.

Thanks Guys for your participation. Your results and opinions are similar to our local testing and the Megatwix Will Not make the Vapordogs website.

We received 10 x T2 dual coil 2.4 ml rebuildable attys from a new manufacture. One of our local retailers is selling them under a brand name I won't mention, we had heard some good things, so we thought we'd give them a try. Great vape right off the get go but big internal & external leakage after just a fill or two. We have discussed the issue with the manufacturer's engineers and they're working on it, these attys show promise if they can fix the leaking problem. We have 3 x unopened T2s left If anyone wants to bother giving this version a try.

Thanks again for everybodys help with the MegaTwix trials, for now the CE5 ClearO is #1 at the Doghouse.

CE5-1100mA-30ml Bonus Bundle Summer Special, in our next post.:)

I finally had time to play with my MegaTwix this weekend, so here is my review. It was a lot of fun to try it out, so thanks again!

The MegaTwix is my first dual coil clearomizer, and there are some things I really like about it. It's easy to fill and set up, it looks good on my Vamo (and fits without an adapter), and the heads are easy to remove and replace by using the grooved end of the drip tip. The bottom tank can also be used by itself, so it's really two products in one. It comes with instructions, but prepare to use a magnifying glass to read them. All in all, it looks like a decent device that will (at least in theory) allow one to vape two different juices at the same time and mix flavors without actually mixing them.

Performance-wise, I had some crazy ohm readings when I first put it on my Vamo. I had to unscrew it and reinstall it a couple of times to get it to read at 3.8. The same thing happened when I only installed one tank. I did have my Vamo on the VW setting at 7.5 at first, but when I changed over to the VV setting I was able to get the correct ohm readings. I started out at 4 volts, but was able to get a pretty good vape at 4.4. 5 and over was too hot for the fruity juices I was vaping, but it was producing some good vapor.

Taste-wise, I thought it was just OK with the two juices I tried. I had pina colada in the first tank and cherry in the second, and I was trying to mimic the taste of a juice I got at one of my local vape shops. I could taste both juices, but the flavors weren't really mixed. It wasn't horrible, but more like pina colada with a cherry chaser. With some juice combos this might be a good thing, but with mine I just didn't get the flavor I was hoping for. I have several more juices I'd like to try, though, so perhaps I'll get a better result with those.

I like the MegaTwix, but as a dual coil it's more of a novelty device for me instead of something I'll use on a daily basis. I'm more likely to use it as a single, but IMO you can never have too many clearos so I'm happy to have it in my rotation :)

If you get 3.8Ω from both Decks installed, then one Coil is not making connection. Each Coil is 3.8Ω, and when both Decks are together, you should get 1.8Ω.

Thanks, because I wasn't sure what was going on at first! I did get 1.8 with both decks together, I just had to fiddle with it first :toast:

Just back from our summer road trip, had a blast! Met up with vapors from Naples to New Milford, Ct and in as many points in between as we could make. Vaped away through the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum the only stop we didn't take Biscuit. We left him at the hotel with Meshika, Chris' brother's Australian Shepherd. He didn't seem to mind.
