I'm late to this party but I saw West do a review of this and he said using brass for the center post and the nuts poses a health risk. Is there any truth to this?

JC west is a clown and I wouldn't believe anything that comes out of his mouth. In order for brass to pose a health risk it would have to heated up wayyyyy hotter than a ecig could ever do.

Agreed giving misleading info to potential buyers just hurts the makers. But all his reviews of the ihys are superb nothing wrong, lets u know what he is trying to do.

Other than the brass pb, JC said the atty was phenomenal..
There's no denying that a brass post and nuts will turn green black from oxidation within a few tanks no matter the temperature. It needs to be cleaned very often and its a PITA if not close to impossible to clean those small parts with all the micro recesses. Add to that, water and a lot of elbow grease won't cut it. you need special cleaning products for that. Whatever the small gain in conductivity (I never felt any difference) is not worth the hassle imho. Offering an ss set to those who want it would have been very wise...

Is anyone getting leaking down the center post of their Doodle?

Not a lot .... just a drop noted after a couple of days.
