Hello all,

I'd just like to say that I admire all of you for attempting to quit this filth known as a cigarette. I admire how in depth you guys and girls go on the topic of modding, the fight with FDA and other topics such as reviews, and tips & tricks.

I'd hate to say I got into the E-cig scene by a "Free" E-cig offer through a pop-up. I loved the idea and clicked away and my E-cig was on it's way. After purchasing the product by just paying S&H I looked the terms and agreements realizing that the product was not actually free. You see, they charged my card 99.00 $$ for the actually E-cig that came with 2 carts, battery and charger. They also bill you 60.00$$ each month and send an additional 15 cartridges per month. I quickly realized my hasty buy based on impulse was sadly a mistake. Nonetheless I was quick to call and cancel my order with my new E-cig in hand. The E-cig was carelessly put together with uneven stickers and the battery actually had a slight bend to it. Anyways I took a couple draws off of it and I really enjoyed the concept and taste. After a couple of draws I had to put it down because of the nicotine kept leaking and burned my lips.

So this is where E-cigarette-forum came in, I googled a "E-cig" forum and saw you guys. That's when I fell in love, first I read about product review, then tips and tricks, I found out what an "Atomizer" is, found out what "e-liquid" is. Then it happened, I read about what's going on with the FDA and the ignorance that's used against E-cigs. I always thought about this when I first saw the "E-cig", like "What are the big tobacco companies doing about these? What about the pharmaceutical companies, corporate America?"

Anyways, let's set the politics aside. After 5 days of review on this sight, I decided to go with the Janty Ego. I ordered it Friday and it should be here tomorrow and I eagerly await it's arrival via UPS. I love what this site does and how valuable the members are towards helping people quit analogs...

Thank you all and feel free to share your first E-cig stories.

Hey Sean,
Many people on this forum have had a similar experience. Do not feel bad; it was a learning experience. If you can quit smoking, then everything is worth while. This forum is loaded with information and has many good people on it. Good luck and let us know how you are doing. I never used the Janty Ego but I think it is a good device. I am sure other members will comment with some tips about your purchase. Again, welcome and good luck!

You're going to like the eGo. Just got one myself (well the Tornado - which is the same device).

On this:
" I always thought about this when I first saw the "E-cig", like "What are the big tobacco companies doing about these? What about the pharmaceutical companies, corporate America?""

Ask yourself this: What could big tobacco, big pharm and corporate America do about ecigs if it weren't for big government?

What would happen if any company asked gov't for a favor - in this case a possible ban and the gov't or the congressmen and Senators would say "Keep your contributions and get the hell out of my office."?

Aero_Space_Dude Welcome Aboard!

Just like you I am so glad I also found out about this forum very early on, just before my first PV arrived - a KR808D-1. I never would have thought that there was so much to these PV's and so many great people involved with them, modding them, and providing so much help, support and assistance as what I've received here. I spend a lot of time, many times per day here now still learning, still asking questions and helping as many people as I can with their experience.

My PV experience which has been a new full-time hobby for me has been awesome, I couldn't have asked for anything better. I was one of the lucky ones who after so many years (36+) of analogs - quit the instant I took my first vape. Better yet, absolutely no withdrawal symptoms whatsoever, no side effects other than being sensitive to PG and better still, not one time have I had the urge to reach for another analog.

Like many (and you will soon) I have my own little "lab" here with all kinds of liquids, flavors, nicotine, experiments going on, mods happening, making my own e-juice and enjoying every single bit of it. The proverbial "Mod Monkey" may just jump on your back some day soon so be careful!

Good luck and give this a good hard try. Keep in mind that you've got to train your brain to accept vaping as your new smoking and that's at least half the battle. The rest is getting your experience just right with the flavors and nic levels. The benefits of vaping FAR outweigh all the crap that went along with those nasty analogs.

And we're always here to help answer questions and give you all the support you need!

Congrats on the eGo purchase. I just got mine a few days ago and got some RY-2 to go with the RY-4 it comes with. I go back and forth between the RY-4 carts and dripping the RY-2. I only vape at night and was trying to finish my last pack of Am. Spirits, which I love (I only smoke in the late evenings). Now I'm completely eGo and it's been a good experience so far, short learning curve and an amazing amount of info out here that has proven INVALUABLE to me, giving me confidence to throw down the $ it takes to get rolling... er, vaping...

Now the first big hurdle is Janty is out of attys and you only get one with the kit, so first thing I need to do is start weeding my way through compatibilities and substitutes for the equipment.

Next... freakin' so many juices, flavors, vendors... I need a good solid reputable vendor to start my journey of finding things I like...

Go eGo!
