Hey guys, I'm new to the whole e-cig thing, but i'm really excited to try it out. After a recent trip to the ER for breathing problems, I really cut back on smoking and went from a pack a day to 1 cig a day in about a weeks time. my step mom also just got an e-cig and i tried it out and thought it was awesome. I figured if i can replace that 1 cig a day with an e-cig then i can be smoke free no problem! The only problem, is that i have no clue where to start. I think i want the standard kit from ZigCigs. The guy seems pretty legit, but I don't want to get taken for a ton of money my first go round. I guess what i really want to know is 1: is this a good first time kit and 2: What can i expect to be spending after the initial buy-in to e-cigs? thanks in advance!

Hi, welcome to the forum. :)
For the first question: I guess it depends os how user friendly you want it to be. From what I've read here the KR808 is a good one that's really no muss-no fuss. Seems most people start with a Joye510 starter kit, but they are only just slightly more maintenance. For the second part: Unless you go crazy on the equipment most people can expect to pay a lot less on e-cigs than regular smokes. The liquid that goes into them is really cheap and lasts.
However, most people are not just "vaping" it once a day as you are wanting to do. At one smoke a day you are spending about $6.50 a month on smokes? You'll have to use your e-cig for a while to break even with that.
However, the other question you want to ask yourself is are you really going to be able to just smoke one? I don't know if you were a lifelong smoker like I was, but I thought I could finally break free a bunch of times and I always went back again.:|

IMO if I only smoked l cigarette a day I would not have even considered ecig. I you only spend 6.50 a month then I don't think you will ever break even and if you do it will take a long time. Since you just started smoking 1 cigarette a day do you think you will continue to do this? If not then ecig is the best thing you can do. There are disposable one if you just want to try this. I would suggest a 510 as a starter kit. Of course most people don't stay with a regular ecig. They end up with a mod. which produces a better throat hit and more vapor with a much longer battery life. If I had it to do over again I would start with a mod. If you are not familar with mods then search them on the forum. I have a super 6 from Super T manufacturing and I love it. Sometimes I do still use my 510 which is an excellent ecig.

Thanks guys. I guess i should clarify. I'm at a pack a day for 10 years. Started when i was 17, now i'm 27. I had to move a bunch of stuff when buying a business recently and after some major dust inhalation, had to go to the ER. They said it would not have been nearly as bad if i didn't smoke and it came as a big wake-up call. I immediately cut back, but have had one or two a day to curb the cravings. Its working, but i know it wont last long so i'm deciding to make the switch now. There's just a ton of info to process and I don't want to end up spending a bunch of money on something that is going to break in like a day or two. those mods sound pretty cool though.

oh, o.k. You're going to love vaping: all the pleasures of smoking and you won't die a horrible, painful, costly death! Get either the 808, or the 510 (or the cignot, why not?) get some juices in different flavors and nicotine mg (make sure to get a 24mg one, even if you don't think you'll need it). You are going to save a bunch of money and be healthier too. You've come to the right place: lots of pro's here who've been exactly where you are now. Good luck!

I guess i've decided on the 510 for now. Is there a place where i can get the same pack as whats on zigcig since he's out of stock right now? seems like a good pack for me with the usb charger and the PCC since im either at a computer or in the car.

I got my stuff at ecigexpress, they have a kit like that. advice: get the kit with two batteries and two atty's. You're going to need to switch them out and don't want to have to wait for the batts to charge etc. Also: NEVER buy anything without researching the vendor on ECF, lots of scams and just plain rotten deals out there.
