I got my coil components and am trying to find time to make it down to lowes/ace hardware to find the rest of the pieces. Once I find those pieces I'll know how long the coil needs to be and I can make that, test the resistance and figure out what kind of circuit I need to build. I'll probably use a triac light dimmer, or build a similar circuit.

You would probably need a wizard stick style coil, where it's encased in glass.This would prevent it from affecting the flavor in any way, even if constantly submerged. It would be kind of like a little light bulb, come to think of it, you might even be able to use a stock light bulb if you can find one that gets to the right temperature. I beleive a 100 Watt bulb can get to somewhere around 470 degrees Fahrenheit, I think that would be more than enough to vape off of.

there are incense oil burners that go in a ring around a light bulb. you may have to mess with it a little , but if incandescent dont get hot enough , halogen sure does.

as for the coil , any time you submerge it , you are going to run the risk of fouling juice that basically condenses. i would stick with a feed system that is easily cleanable...

Raenon...That's an interesting take. I'm not sure how you would set up your valves to keep vapor from leaking out the hose, or being to hard to pull on. I guess you could use a powered valve with a button, but that's going to bring build price up. Functionally I'm trying to do this as easily as possible so that most of the money can be spent on the casing. (Wanna use spare parts as much as possible so it doesn't hurt at bad when I mess stuff up.) Plus if it's easy to build it'd be easy to fix/replace parts.

@Hova

Either I didn't understand you or you didn't understand me. With a multiple feed system each hose could have its own flavor. Get your friends together and start passing hoses. Yes, we all COULD sit around and share our 510's or whatever, and we do, just like we used to sit around and smoke analogs. However, we also used to sit around and hookah quite a bit and there is a different "vibe?" you get when using the hookah. I am just trying to see if I can create a system that gives that vibe without using traditional tobacco. That's all. Plus I've seen lots of people and posts asking about one. Thought maybe I could help some people out.

Why not just use the standard ball bearing hookah valve, most higher quality hookahs will have a very simple valve that is controlled by airflow, when you draw on the hose the ball bearing rises up and lets air flow, and then drops back down when you stop, allowing someone to use another hose without you having to plug yours.
