So I got home from work and my 510 arrived. (Actually the "it's here it's here!" has worn off, I knew it was here like eight hours ago.) But that gave it plenty of time to charge and such so now I'm taking my first puffs off the thing.

Got to admit it's nice. Diffenitly know what 'throat hit' is all about now lol. Actually might be a little too much for me, which is suprising. I'm a pack a day red smoker. 305s for a while since the last price hike but I'm 1 away from killing my 3rd pack in... 4 days? Got some ultra cheapos yesterday, at the price I used to get Marlboros. Ouch. Diffently gives me a little push to keep up the vaping.

So I got... "RY4" preloaded carts with my kit. Got to admit it's kind of nice. Kind of a sweet taste but not really. And belive it or not, fat boy here isn't that big on sweet. Reminds me of... A snickers bar I think. Like it. Kind of getting a buzz off it though lol. Does that go away or did I just find the real reason all you guys are vape crazy? ;) Eh, it's probably the nic content. Which is worries me a tincy bit since the three e-liqs I got are actually... 6mg higher... :\ oh well.

Yep my 510 suprised me to. I as a pack a day smoker and started vaping 24mg. I found that that it is a little high for me so I dropped down to 18mg. Next week i'm going to try 12mg for lesuire vaping.

You can cut your liquid with VG or PG to dilute the e liquid. Or just order some lesser mgjuice and save the higher stuff for good times.

Welcome aboard! I don't know how you feel about it but this is the best thing i've done for myself since I got married. (don't tell her that tho) LOL

Hmmm, well, my charger died within a few hours of owning it and both these batts have patheticly short lives (one lasted about an hour and a half, the other about an hour). Needless to say I'm a little miffed about all this. I've already emailed the supplier and asked about a refund and return. Is this kind of thing typical, or is it bad luck, or what? I already figered out the guy overcharged like hell (got to say, I don't find that werid little cabin on everything being worth 20 bucks) but is this what I can expect from anyone I buy from?

And no, it wasn't primer fluid. Every puff I took had a lot of throat hit. Not just the first few.

The 510 batteries don't last very long. You could get a passthrough to use at your computer and not have to worry about batteries or buy some extra mega manual batteries and keep them charged so you always have a spare. You definitely need more than two batteries.

You can also buy the PCC (pesonal charging case) for when you're away from your computer and always have one battery in the case charging while you're using the other battery.

I hope you work out the problems so you can enjoy your e-cig. Good luck.

So it's normal for these things to only last like an hour brand new, even the automatics? *sighs* That might be a bit to much bother to be honest.

Ummm.... you should have one battery charging while you use the other one (either on a wall charger or in your PCC). When the battery that you are using dies, swap it out with the charged one. Then just keep up the rotation. Pretty simple.. pretty easy.

If you'll invest in a 5 pack of the Mega Power batteries (last about 4 hours each) you'll change your mind on the 510. Seems to be the e-cig that gets most off of cigarettes (if that is what you are looking for).

Totally Wicked sells them.
510 TITAN Electronic Cigarette-Mega Power 5 Manual Battery Multi Packs.

I also stock up on their atomizers. The other product they have is a charger that will charge up to 5 batteries at once (love mine!!).

E-NI-510 TITAN.5 Battery Mega Charger

T4be699 will get you a 7.5% discount.

Your other option is to buy a battery unit. I have a Chuck, and with a 3000mAh battery (which are rechargable and cheap) you'll get a few days on one charge. You can see the custom units ($80 shipped, your design or color choice) here
THAG BUILT: A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing!

Stick with it! It is a great e-cig.

I'm hoping so. The charger being dead complicates it though. But to be clear, by the time I'm done with one batt the other should be charged? The eight hours to charge isn't an everytime thing?

It should never take 8 hours to charge a battery. And frankly, if you spent 8 hours charging your battery the first time (a lot of people think this is necessary), then you wasted a lot of time. Once the light goes green.. VAPE!

Sorry about your charger - and, not, that isn't normal. The vendor should send you a replacement right away. Yes, the batteries have notoriously short charges, but they usually re-charge in an hour or so. Once the light turns green, you're good to go.

I always have about 5 batteries around, and I use 2 chargers so I always have a couple ready to go. The portable charging case is pretty handy, too, and doubles as a back-up charger if your wall charger dies. (Search for the 510 PCC.)

Another must-have is a handful of spare atomizers. They are fickle - some last a few days, others weeks. You just have to deal with these inconveniences; this is new technology and they are still working a lot of the bugs out, IMO.

I see you're in N FL - I'm down near Melbourne, and I can overnight you a loaner charger to tide you over until you figure out what to order next. Send me a PM if you're interested. Although, it would be just as quick to find a state-side vendor. They can usually get stuff to you in a couple of days. Good luck!

I think you can also get them at TECC... lol... And yea those 510 batteries are only about an hour.. I spent many times staring at that red light waiting for it to turn green.. Then I started looking into the mod section. You are really better off spending a bit more on something that will last you a long time if not all day on one charge.

I think the Chuck is about the best deal going on the mod deal. You will spend about 120 after you get batteries and a charger but you will have something that you will be real happy with and no more staring at that light....lol..

Good luck and happy vapn.
