Hi,

After watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtms9tDqkgA&list=UUEAwYOh6Fgkltse22gdapfA

I went to VapeGear and tried to order one, they didn't ship to the US. I emailed them and explained that I really wanted to purchase this jig as wrapping coils hurts my hands after so many years typing on a keyboard.

They replied pretty quickly and put me in contact with the manufacturer and he sent me this

"Hello thereKeef forwarded me your email as I understand you would like an Easy Coil coil gig, but Keef does not post outside the UK?
I am the maker of them & am always happy to help if I can, so if you would like one sending on to you in the states I can happily do that for you."

I never got a chance to respond and he sent me another email today with this!

"Just had a second vednor go live with the easy coiler & I had a word on your behalf & he does ship internationally, so you can get it direct from Rob at Stealthvape here -"

Easy-Coil - Coil Winding Jig

ORDERED!!!! "Supplied with 5 stainless steel rods - 1.4mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm" - [/mindblown]

Hope this works for you! I ordered something similar from ebay but it's just too small for me to make it useful. I have MS and my one hand has no "fine tune" flexibility.

If you find that what you ordered doesn't work for you, consider ordering the Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo(R) Deluxe Winder for Jewelry Making. You can often find this at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Just make sure you are getting the "Deluxe" version. Here's a video on how to use it: Micro Coil 101 - Making A Perfect Micro Coil Using The Coil Gizmo By Artistic Wire

There is another thread here on ECF that gives instructions on how to modify it so that you can attach the wire (and hold it in place) while you turn the crank with one hand and hold the spool of wire with your other hand (pictured in the video). If I find that link, I will add this to my post.

Good luck with the jig you purchased!

I don't have MS, but I'm on multiple anti-psychotics and mood stabilizers for personal issues that make my hands tremble uncontrollably almost to the point of being useless. On top of that, I'm a rather big guy all round and have the huge sausage finger hands to match.

Does the Artistic Wire Gizmo work for you? Or is it the one you found you still couldn't use? I ask because even though I live my Aerotank Mega and my Nautilus, I can't help my curiosity of the the kayfun rebuildables .

I've mentioned in previous threads that I last tried a Genesis clone that still used the SS mesh wick and for the life of me I could NEVER get it to work properly. The kayfuns SEEM much easier but I'll still need some kind of help actually making the coils.

So I was just wondering if the Artistic Wire Gizmo was in fact helpful to you or not seeing as we're both plagued by a lack of use with our hands. This device from the video that you order from the uk seems easy enough even for me, but I'd prefer to buy in the US if possible...

I have the Gizmo and another one that just held the post and wire end. I Much prefer the Gizmo and can make beautiful coils with it. A screw with 2 washers and a wing nut through the handle works fine to hold one end of the wire. I use a magnifying head thing to look at the coil as I build it and I do a few more wraps than I need and when it is done pull the end of the wire that was held off a little to get fid of some problems at the start of the coil.

The down side is that there is really only one size that works well for me.
