^^^ This! Cropduster901.com

I just ordered off Tony from Cropduster901 site a couple hours ago (you have to call, he can process your card over the phone) and he gave me an AMAZING deal!!!

He also threw in like $40 worth of FREE stuff!!! Him and his wife are both class-acts (very funny!), I seriously never been treated so good over the phone before, and he was very patient and actually over-answered all my questions (which is a good thing!). lol :)

No doubt Tony is a great guy to deal with. I've talked with him several times myself.

The only thing I am extremely worried about is the life span of the Echo's Cartos, I really hope I ain't getting myself into a money pit here. I mean, 1 510 Atty is lasting me 2 or more months, my vape habbit at the moment is only costing me around $20 a month on juice. Tony told me he has an Echo Atty that's been going strong for over a month, but I have yet to hear or read another account of an Echo Atty lasting this long? :( And I pray I don't get stuck with one of them Echos with the 5 sec cut-off time.

A five second cutoff time sounds short but five seconds is a long time. Time it with an actual timer and see for yourself. Unless you are one of those guys that inhales a half a cigarette on one drag it won't be a problem. I can make mine cutoff but it is hard to do and then it resets immediately. Out of all the users there have only been one or two that had a problem with the cutoff time. The cartos last me five to seven days or about 8-10 refills before needing cleaning but it varies with what juice you use. I have read of others getting longer. If you do the through Mohawkx cleaning method described in the Go-go thread they will last indefintely. There are easier methods to clean the filler with out taking it out though but if you need to dry burn the atty you need to use the Mohawkx method. No one has popped a coil in one yet that I'm aware of. Overall it is the best PV I've tried and I'm sure you will be happy with it too. I know how the anxiety gets before you get a new PV until you try it yourself. I know because I'm the same way. lol

I've been using one echo-e for almost 12 full days now and so far so good. During that time I have run about 35ml through it. I have had to push the filler down every few days when it starts tasting dry, but that's all I've had to do to it so far.

I have been using my homemade juice with mostly flavor apprentice flavoring. Most of it is clear to only a slight coloration. I don't use any of the sweeteners that they sell. The first 2 days I used an 80/20 pg/vg blend and the rest of the time it's been 85/15.

Some of the other flavorings I have tried seem to gunk up an atty faster than these and I have found that filtering them through a coffee filter really helps in reducing how often I need to do dry burns. I have found quite a bit of sediment remaining in the filter that would otherwise have gunked up the coil.

Just sayin, I wouldn't doubt if some of the juice vendors are using these and not filtering them before mixing them in their liquids. I think this could be why some ppl are having short run times on their echos. The way to tell if it's the juice is if you have to do dry burns often when dripping on an atty. When I was using them unfiltered I would have to dry burn every day or two. Now I can go 2-4 weeks without needing a dry burn. It makes that much of a difference.

This sounds like a good idea that I must try. Just one question: do you think it effects the flavors any?

Yes, I think it does tend to make the flavor a bit weaker, but I just add some extra to compensate. For me it's a worthwhile trade off to not having my coils gunked. Also, not all flavorings need to be filtered. Most of the light colored ones you can tell by looking at the bottom and giving the bottle a twirl and you will see a small vortex of sediment lifting off of the bottom. On dark flavors you can't really tell.

I am talking about the flavorings and not the eliquid juice with the favoring already mixed in it. On the ejuice you can't really tell because the sediment is already suspended in the viscous liquid and generally doesn't fall to the bottom.

Also, I suggest you wet the filter with water (distilled or filtered is the best) before you run the flavor through it or the filter will absorb a lot of your flavor. It should be moist - not sopping wet. You want to get it so the filter can't absorb any more liquid but you don't want it to be dripping or the water itself will weaken the flavor.

Got my Echo ordered from Tony @ Cropduster. I have to agree his service was excellent. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Now I just have to figure out what PV to use to test new juices. I currently have a Joye 510 manual but I don't know if I can set it up to drip effectively due to the smaller battery. Any suggestions?

You can drip a 510 with no problem but you might not get a realistic ideal of what it might taste like on an Echo carto. I got some 1 ml 808 cartos that they use with the volt. They are similar bottom hoiz coil cartos as the Echo. I like to vape a carto of new juice with them first before loading up a 3.5 ml carto to find out if I think I will like it. They work good on the Echo battery.

Thanks man. So can I just order those or do I need an adapter? Aren't the threads on a Echo made for 510? Also any particular brand or ohm suggestions?

The Echo has 901 threads, the Echo-e has 510 threads. 808 cartos work on the Echo and you can use the ones sold for the volt or signature series. I bought these and they work good, 9.00 for five with free shipping. Signature Series 808 Cartomizers

If you have an Echo-e you need to order the boge 510 cartos and he has them too.

Last night I tried the boiling method that was put up here a few days ago on 4 of my Echo cartos. I boiled for 15 min 2 times. When I blew them out I also used Darthvper's qtip method and mad a lot more water came out!!!!!!!! Thanks Darthvper! I then put some rolled up tissue in them and am going to turn the tissue around tonight. Thinking after two days with the tissue I will let them dry another couple of days to make sure they are dry before filling. I do think that maybe since these are larger then the boge cartos in the video that they might need a third boil. This morning I smelled them and one still had a faint juice smell. Will let you know if these work well when dry.

I have also been thinking about getting some smaller or cheaper cartos to use with my dark juice. I really do love the echo batteries. I have noticed my fav waffles from TV only gets about a day maybe day and a half of really good vaping, then maybe a half day of ok to not so great vaping. The light juices do so much better. do the 808 cartos look really dumb? will the echo soft tip fit these or would I need a drip tip? Thanks so much. This thread has been so helpful.

I see the note on those about the different caps, is the flat one for filling it up with a syringe?

Try pushing the filler down in the echo cartos to restore the flavor. I make a habit of pushing the filler down now on the echo-e cartos right before I top them off in the evening. So far the taste has remained consistant for over two weeks. I'm vaping a creamy cappucinno. My echo carto did start to lose flavor/vapor/etc after about 5 days but pushing the filler down restored it almost immediately and it has been good to go ever since.
