I posted the other day that Nhaler had 801 aluminum whistle tips in 13 colors. I ordered one and they are bigger than the ones I got from Ikenvape and are too tight. I can force them on but it isn't easy. I wouldn't recommend buying these for the Echo. The Silver and Black ones from Ikenvape work perfect.
I'm sorry if anyone ordered one due to me posting about them but you just never know when ordering e-cig accessories from different companies.

Yep I just got my whistle tip from nhaler in the mail. Definitely not a fit for my echo :/

Last night I tried the boiling method that was put up here a few days ago on 4 of my Echo cartos. I boiled for 15 min 2 times. When I blew them out I also used Darthvper's qtip method and mad a lot more water came out!!!!!!!! Thanks Darthvper! I then put some rolled up tissue in them and am going to turn the tissue around tonight. Thinking after two days with the tissue I will let them dry another couple of days to make sure they are dry before filling. I do think that maybe since these are larger then the boge cartos in the video that they might need a third boil. This morning I smelled them and one still had a faint juice smell. Will let you know if these work well when dry.

I have also been thinking about getting some smaller or cheaper cartos to use with my dark juice. I really do love the echo batteries. I have noticed my fav waffles from TV only gets about a day maybe day and a half of really good vaping, then maybe a half day of ok to not so great vaping. The light juices do so much better. do the 808 cartos look really dumb? will the echo soft tip fit these or would I need a drip tip? Thanks so much. This thread has been so helpful.

I'm glad someone else tried and approves of the Darth Squirt (tm)! I too am thinking I need smaller, more disposable cartos for juice testing on my echo. i guess the 808 cartomizers are one solution. Any other options anybody?

So Wednesday I got my 5 brand new echomizers in the mail. This is a big deal as my initial two got destroyed. By day two (Friday) I noticed a fowl burning taste coming from several of them. By Saturday I decided to clean them out. Instead of the boiling method I decided to be extra thorough and take them apart. One of them (the first one) was pretty revealing when i took it apart...

So I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong here. When I first got the cartos I made sure to pack the filler down, I topped them off (dripping method) until they dripped out the bottom, I vaped 'em. That particular carto was carrying my special blend of juice. Now today's Tuesday and i have only 1 good carto left. The one in the pictures is obviously unusable, two more have a pungent burning rubber taste that burns my throat, and one has a slight burning taste that I can stand for a few puffs but that's it. One is going strong yet, and that's the one I've been using clove juice in.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this 'normal'? Or really bad luck? Something's gotta give here...

On another note, since the echo battery only charges at 150mA and the AC adapter is capable of putting out 500mA, I got to thinking.. why not use one AC adapter to charge up to three batteries at once? (My car only has one ac outlet) Well I finally found the item I would need to make this dream come true!

Packing the filler down is bad, imo. I was happily using my first 2 echo cartos with no problems, when I read that the filler should be packed down to improve performance. When it was time to refill, I tried it on my 2 and after about 6 puffs, I got the dreaded burnt taste:( Maybe I did something wrong, IDK, but I won't be trying that again anytime soon!

Interesting! I read that packing the filler down is a good idea shortly after I got my kit and promptly packed down the fillers on my original two. I didn't think anything of it that they burnt out shortly thereafter...

Darthvper sorry to hear your having burning issues. I have not had any so far and have used a LOT of these because my juice is so sweet. I don't touch the filler until I notice flavor going down then just gently push it down a little and vape away. When flavor goes down again I do it again. Someone said that it is good to keep these somewhat topped off. I don't vape them totally dry. Usually refill when I get home from work even though they don't need it. I am on day two of drying the ones I boiled. I changed the tissue and will dry another couple days without the tissue. Hoping this works better then taking them apart. Still haven't found the right size straw for putting back together the four I dry burned :( anyone know where I can get those straws?

Also, what kind of juice are you using? I had one juice that was not vapeable in these. It was 80/20 VG/PG and very think. Took forever to seep in and when it did just didn't vape well. I was worried about burning the carto so stopped. All my juice is 20/80 VG/PG. Just a thought.

i try to stick to PG because it's a better stealth vape and thinner liquid. That said, I do have some PG/VG liquid that I use to flavor my other PG liquids, such as the aforementioned (twice) custom mix I use "Bliss". However this still keeps me below 20/80 VG/PG.

Oh and I use a red straw that you can find at any McDonalds. You'll have to widen the end slightly, a pen or tweezers works great.

Any idea of how much juice you got in there before it dripped out the bottom? I think packing the filler down on an un-used carto compacted it and it didn't absorb juice evenly throughout. IMO burning is likely to happen if the center tube is not properly saturated. As much as I dislike using syringes and having them around the house, they seem to be a much better option for filling these big cartos. In my experience, I used the dripping method on a top-off and only got like 20 drops in which I thought was strange. Even though I dripped 10 at a time and waited in between for it to absorb, it dripped out the bottom after 20. Tried using a syringe and managed to get like another 1.5ml in there!

Ok, getting my new echo today (I hope). I don't know if I have a syringe or not to initially fill the cart...any suggestions if I don't? Any advice period?

I don't use a syringe I just drip around the sides of the filler untill one drip comes out the bottom. Can very from 100-120 drips usually.

I did try a syringe once, and I went down the side, not along the center straw. I kind of got discouraged after about 2 seconds as the liquid seemed to shoot straight out the bottom :/
As for topping off, I do keep topping off throughout the day. But I do think it odd that it would only be 20-60 drops before the juice would drip out the bottom. Even if i were to let it go until the flavor/vapor was noticeably diminished. As i understand it 3ml is a lot more drops than that.

On the initial fill just drip, rotate while dripping. Depending on the PG/VG you may have to wait 30 seconds for it to absorb. I filled mine with a 60/40 PG/VG juice and would drip about 20 drops while rotating then would wait like 30 second and drip again. It's suprising how much it takes on the first fill. I top mine off at the end of the day by doing the same, drip rotate let sit. Once the drop comes out the threaded end it's full.

I think you're going to like the echo Vermonter16.
