Want to get a manual battery for dry burning my Echo carts. Since this is the only thing I'll be using it for, I'm looking for the cheapest way to go, without having to buy adapters, chargers, etc. Any suggestions?

Will the KR808D-1 Manual Battery work with Echo carts, and if so can I charge it with the Echo charger?

I did try a syringe once, and I went down the side, not along the center straw. I kind of got discouraged after about 2 seconds as the liquid seemed to shoot straight out the bottom :/
As for topping off, I do keep topping off throughout the day. But I do think it odd that it would only be 20-60 drops before the juice would drip out the bottom. Even if i were to let it go until the flavor/vapor was noticeably diminished. As i understand it 3ml is a lot more drops than that.

I stick the needle in down the side until it hits the bottom. Then slowly inject about 0.5ml while pulling the needle up to the top of the filler. Repeat this a few times all around the filler until it looks well soaked or a drop begins to form at the bottom. If you just squeeze with keeping the needle at the bottom, I'm pretty sure it will just shoot straight out the bottom. Let it stand for a bit and then blow through from the mouth-piece end to get out any excess. Hope this helps.

I do it the same way, inserting the blunt needle to the bottom, then, with plunger removed, drip the desired amount in the syringe. Now, not using the plunger, just raise the needle a little and let the juice seep into the carto. Works better for me. If I use the plunger, I tend to flood things too quickly and the juice runs out prematurely.

Well, I knew it was just a matter of time....reading all the happy vaper posts about the auto 1300....I knew my curiousity would win out. Thanks to Bill at D&B Gold who had a too-tempting deal that I just couldn't pass up, I have my first auto and my first shiny pv. And I like it really, really well. A lot even. :D

I guess we all do it a little different with the same results. I never stick the needle to the bottom, no more than 1/2 inch in the side of carto and inject one ml on each side until full. I get just under 3.5 ml on a new carto and just under 3 ml on first refill. I have never had any wicking or burnt cartos. I do think it has more to do with the type of juice you use to how fast and how through the filler absorbs the juice. I use 80-20 pg and the filler absorbs it very well.

i have never used a syringe and fill my echo cartos and i have never had any burning or wicking problems. i tilt the carto 45 degrees and drip into it while rotating the carto in my fingers.

Same experience here. Just my opinion, but the concept of syringes kinda turns me off. Hold the carto at 45 deg, 5 drops while rotating, let soak for a minute, repeat until the first drip comes out the bottom. Blow it out, wipe it clean, done. Brand new cartos need to soak several minutes after filling.

Echo-E holds about 75 drops. Haven't had a single problem. First carto lasted a month with one ultrasonic/water cleaning in the middle.

I'm curious, I've asked before but got no notice, for a disposable flavor-testing solution would the 808 cartos work for the echo? Or something else would work better? A very small cheap carto, even if requiring some kinda adapter, I can get a few dozen of cheap. I've been very interested in a practical cheap solution for this. I know nothing of the 808, ego, echo-e, etc that are mentioned around.

Alternatively I could get an all new cheap-o pv just to test stuff on.. but come on...

I started with an 808 I got from litecig and I still get blank cartos from them and use it to taste test juices. I find it a lot better solution than having to clean the echo carto if it's a bad juice. Just before the echo came out I was debating about getting an IGO because it too has the 808 threads and you can use the 808 cartos on the IGO as well. I'm so glad I waited and got the echo. Some day I might get the IGO but by then there will probably be something better out.

I also just drip into the carto but I would add, I seem to have the best luck when at about 50-60 drops I begin rolling the carto between my palms, then set it down for a minute, add more, palm roll etc., until the carto is full. I may be imagining it, but I think the palm roll makes for a better fill.

THIS is excellent advice. I get far more juice in a carto and don't have to let it sit around before using, just enthusiastically roll the carto between my palms after it "seems" full, then adding a bunch more juice. Awesome.

I just received my 2 Echo kits, very happy. Just a quick question if someone can please help me out with this...

So, I start charging the one of the batts, and the Blue LED stays lite while it is charging. Is this normal??? I don't see why they would make it like this, as it's using up juice while charging by the LED staying lite.

Would just like to know if this is normal? And if it is, no wonder why they take forever to charge! :p

Thanks guys/gals

Yes, the blue light stays on. It will go out when charging is complete. As for the blowing... just a couple of quick blows from the battery end (no do not put anything in the tube) wipe off the battery end and threads and good to go. Enjoy...mine is never far from my lips ...lol.

Thanks! Now hearing the reviews I get a moderate amount of vapor and watching the videos I do t get the vapor production that I've seen. Is it my juice? Currently using one that is 10% vg and the other I'm not sure about. It is the USA Mix custom china blend from MadVapes. Now when I inhale I pull into my mouth stop then inhale the vapor in my mouth to my lungs. Is that right? Sorry for all the questions still very new to this.

Higher vg will increase vapor. I am currently vaping 60/40 pg/vg from vapor bomb and having good results.

Gotcha. No worries about it clogging the cartomizer up? I know folks on here have been talking about the vg being thicker and maybe causing issues. I'll have to check vapor bomb out.

Since this has been asked a couple of times, figured I would post a shot of what it looks like if you create a Franken-echo. Both the Echo batts and the Echo cartos are compatable with your KR808D-1 batts/cartos.
And yes, it does look weird, but if you were looking to blend in, you probably wouldn't have purchased a gigantic metal tube with a blue light bright enough to be seen from space...
