I am still learning that...a couple I have been able to vape right away but were so much better a week later. I use my 808 to taste test and if not good then set back a week and then revisit. The vaporrenu I just got yesterday and went ahead and loaded a cart with the butterscotch because it tested okay and I could "taste" it but I can tell it will be better next week. It does have a slight off taste but vapable. I think a lot depends on the flavor of the juice...maybe a vet could jump in and help us out with that question. Anyone?

I have ordered a few juices from vaporrenu. The first ones were mixed with their renu mix and they were terrible! Even after sitting for 3 weeks or longer now, still can't stand them. Jason there at vaporrenu did send me two free bottles to replace the others, and I got them just straight 60pg/40vg no extra flavor. Cinnamon roll and orange cream, both were good to vape without the nasty chemical taste and smell. So I guess there is hope for vaporrenu. My husband loves the West Coast Tobacco and Honey Wood Tobacco from them. All 60pg/40vg in an echo-e cartomizer. Hope some of this helped you or someone out there!! LOL! And keep on vaping!!

So with made to order juices you need to let them steep? Is there a specific time frame?

As with most answers related to vaping, it depends. Most suggest leaving the lid off for a couple days. Something about oxygen facilitating the steeping process. Some liquids need more time than others. Your experience will teach you.

This does not mean you can not vape a new bottle immediately. But some flavors really do taste better after a couple days.

I once received a new bottle of watermelon and nearly threw it in the trash. A week later it was delicious.

YMMV :)

That is definitely a bargain on Echo kits from D&B. Probably the best so far. FYI - Mountain Vapor has lowered the price of batteries...

I would like to put in a side note: I've ordered from Mountain Vapor twice so far. Both times sales and service has been excellent. Both times that I ordered (my kit and later some additional cartos) they were competitively priced (esp his 4 for $15 carto deal when everyone else was charging $5-$7 a piece).
Just my 2 cents :2c:

I'll have to make sure I pay attention to any changes in my juices. Never thought about the oxygen having an effect. So any one ever have a juice that just became amazing on their echo, maybe turned into an all time favorite after steeping? If so, what was it?

I agree he is normally very competitive and now has reduced his batteries to a more realistic price of 16.75. He is the only one selling batteries individually that I know of. I just try to to let everyone know the prices the venders are offering regardless of who it is.

I got 6 new echo cartomizers Wednesday, which was just in time as my 5 I got the previous Wednesday were all already tasting horrible. Cleaning them by taking the filler out revealed once again the filler was burning away

So the six i just got Wednesday, been taking extra care to fill them and let them sit, and top them off hyper often (as in only 20 drops to top them off). So far only two have a hint of burning rubber taste and it's been a whole 3 days. Yeah... I think I'll try a different supplier.

I've been thinking, I could send a few burnt out ones to someone if they think they can diagnose 'em. I have one I haven't pulled apart yet. Just PM me an address if interested :)

In other news, I think I have a VG allergy. Awesome.

Sorry to hear that. That really sucks. Are you getting at least around 100 drops on the initial fill? The only thing I can think of suggesting is to buy a syringe (at least 18 gauge) and make sure your first fill is 3ml or try some pre-filled cartos. I think sterling vapor sells them. You can top off with your own flavors and the new flavor should take over after a while.

I'm on day 22 of rotating 3 cartos and all's well. Anything over a month will be a bonus imo. I hope you come right Darth

Got a syringe on order and some more (less expensive) cartos too, so we'll see how that does!

I might also try adding a tiny bit of PGA to my juices to thin 'em out some, maybe they'll distribute better in the cartridge. Not to mention it's PGA :toast:

Yes ... I found my full-time vape with Vermillion River Applewood. It's a tobacco base with a hint of ripe apple. Lots of vapor (believe it's 80/20) great flavor (if you like tobacco and apples), and no unpleasant after-taste. TH is mild to moderate with my 10mg juice. I did not steep it ... good right out of the mailbox. Although I have a Vermillion signature, I have no connection with them other than being a very satisfied customer. Outstanding service and fast delivery.

So I have a carto related question. I have been using some USA Mix in one of my carto's, just got in some RY4 that I'd like to go ahead and try out. Would it be a bad idea to fill the carto I've been using for the USA Mix with it? Since I'm new to the echo and vaping in general not sure how much I've used out of a full carto.

I wouldn't mix the 2 if you want the true flavor of that RY4, your best bet is filling a new carto with it all day long !

Quick question if someone can help me here...

I received my 2 black Echo kits a couple days back, I LOVE it so much I'm gonna order me a Chrome kit from NorthWest Vapors. Problem is I can't find where to buy Chrome Carto's. If someone knows where In can get these, I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Thanks much! :)

Ether

The only vendors that I know of who carry them are NHaler, and MountainVapor (excellent pricing and is in stock).
I would also recommend Elite Vapor Works for their 808 cartos, make excellent juice testers at $9 for 5!

Back to Mountain Vapor for a sec - I might also suggest their USB chargers (not to be confused with USB passthrus, there's a significant difference!) as you want to be able to charge both batteries at once, trust me.

Those flavors should not "clash". I'd say start dripping the RY4 in and after a while you'll start to get a "flavor transition" then the full RY4 after a while (depends how much ml you go thru, for me that'd take about 4 hours lol). You may like the combination you get in the middle, but I don't see it as possibly being bad. USA mix goes with virtually everything, I use it often to tobacco-ize fruity flavors or give sweetness to harsh or dull ones. So my advice it to have at it.

I cant agree with that if you want the true flavor though of the RY4, Mixing flavors in an Echo Carto just doesnt give the full effect of a flavor just like it doesnt when you mix flavors in any other Atty/Carto, ya you will taste it but not the true whole flavor mixed with another.
