Yes the Kgo works good with them without adapter. It is basically the same as an ego but has a 4.2 V Batterytx, does the Kgo need an adapter to work with the EMDCCs? tia

That is about what I get usually although it is hard to keep track being as I have a lot of different ones going all the time. I used that new cleaner set up from smoktek and it woked good on the one I cleaned. I have five or six I've set apart to clean next week when I will have some time.
I posted this in the cartomizer thread but thought I'd ask the Echo experts here, as well...has anyone ever had the center post in the bottom of an Echo carto come out?
I'd just filled it and noticed the center hole wasn't aligned, so I was trying to adjust it with a paperclip when the little post popped out completely.
It looked like the silicone covered center of an adapter, so I put it back in - making sure it would make good contact with the battery, but now it doesn't work.
I'm not that familiar with the innards of these cartos, so I don't know if they connect to something inside that detached, but have used tons of 808 cartos and have adjusted the center post many times and not had this happen. Is this something unique due to the bottom coil design?
Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Probably not repairable. I learned this lesson the hard way myself. The center post connects to the coils with 2 tiny wires. If those wires are broken or shorted, the party is over.

Thanks, jj...There were no wires showing, so they must have broken off, which is weird because I wasn't doing anything that should have caused that to happen.
I just got the Echo kit a week or so ago and I really, really love it, so I hope this isn't a common problem.
Kind of a bummer, though, since I only had the two that came in the kit and I already broke the first one - although that was def user error
- I'll just chalk this one up to bad luck - I've got 5 more that should be coming in the mail tomorrow.I've also got one of the carto cleaner kits coming along with them - Can't wait to try that out.
I'm using the one I cleaned and it is working like new. I want to see how many times I can clean it before I need to remove filler for dryburn. It is a very easy and quick method.

Great to hear. I just took delivery of 3 of those cleaning kits from Smoketek. They look like they will do the job really good with the exception of the dry burn. With the kind of juice I use, mostly clear, 80/20, I would expect three or four syringe cleanings before a filler pull and dry burn.What did you use to clean yours with? I used water that was just short of boiling. Mine were just getting really hard to draw on, so I'm hoping this fixes it. I don't know if I have the patience to to the full breakdown clean.
Same here. I'm willing to do some boiling or flushing, but just don't have the patience or motivation to attempt a rebuild. As much as I like to pinch pennies, I'm willing to spend a little extra to avoid aggravation. A while back I bought the ultrasonic jewelry cleaner ($25) and got mixed results out of it. At first I thought it was great but some cleanings didn't seem to make much difference.
At $7 that cleaning kit from SmokTek looks interesting. Any reports would be greatly appreciated.

That is how I did mine and let it dry really good and it works like new. Mine was also just really hard to draw. Like Mowhawx said I'm hoping for a few flush cleanings before doing a dry burn.

Hi guys just finished reading this thread. Very nice info. I have an echo automatic (just echo) and I would like to ask you if this model comes with manual batteries as well. I think echo e is manual but with different threads. Is it 901 for the auto and 510 for the echo e? I would like to try the dry burn part for my echomizers, which last from a few days to maximum a week with pg. Can someone explain in detail what are the differences between echo echo e and echo v (vgo)? Everyone refers to echo as an automatic product so I wonder if it has a manual battery option and I wonder those sites that advertise echo with manual batteries, is it actually echo or echo e?
The Echo is automatic and has a 901 thread while the Echo-E is manual and has a 510 thread. I'm not sure what thread the Echo-V has. Both Echo and Echo-E performs the same for me the only difference is that one is manual and the other is auto.
Thanks, tx! While I was waiting for adapters a while ago, I went ahead and added a Kgo to my growing collection.
You can dry burn with an automatic. Screw it on and face a mirror and blow lightly into the batt end. You'll see the smoke/burn through the mirror.
has anyone tried charging the echo with a bmf kr808-1 type of charger? does it work? its a 150mah charger.
My KR-808 chargers do not work because the threads are too recessed for the fat Echo battery to be able screw into the charger. Madvapes sells a 901 (same thread as 808) battery extender that looks like it might make it possible to do, but I have not yet ordered one.
Of course that is just trying to get the physical connection to work. There is also a possibility that the circuitry in the battery would not be compatible with the charger. I have been told that you cannot charge an Echo on an iGo charger even though they physically mate. The charger light go nuts implying to me that it is the circuitry that is the issue.
