you mean we can use a charger from a different device as long as it fits and it has a 5V DC output and 500ma?

The charger is the the usb adapter and you must use the echo 5v 150 ma output charger. The power supply that you plug into the wall is what I was talking about.

Quite a noob here and more an echo-e question. I got an Ego + Echo-E kit from health cabin eGo ECHO Promotion Mix Kit(Black) - $45.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail-- a few days back, I got a bunch of different cartomisers, and lots of echo-e cartos, but didnt get any atomisers. Overall happy with te kit so far, just wish I was enjoying the flavours I chose more, but have been analog free since I opened the box, so all good on the nasty burning cancer stick end.

Ive got a whole bunch of samplers now on their way including some which are high in PG. To turn an echo-e carto into a dripping atomiser do I just need to pull the stuffing out, I read the gogo cleaning thread in which he cut down the go-cart, is this necesary, on the echo cart it would leave an odd diameter opening and i would need to make a custom drip tip.

My other option is to butcher a Boge 2.0 ohm cartomiser

You should be able to just pull the filler out of the echo-e and use it as an atomizer and drip with it. Make sure you wet the filler completely prior to removing the filler and leave the center tube in place. You should be able to tailpipe it with no problem without a drip tip.

Edit: oh and just for confirmation, the EMDCC with an adapter (i got one from gotvapes) fits pretty much flush on the Echo batt. Will post pics tomorrow when I'm not half as lazy as I am atm.

Are you talking about the Echo-E or the regular Echo? If you're talking about the regular Echo, I would really appreciate a link to the adapters you're using to make that EMDCC work. Thanks in advance.

I think any of the low profile 808/901 to 510 will work. The problem I had was not the connection but the emdcc caused the echo to stay activated until cutoff everytime. You can get them here for 3.99 with free shipping. Ecig Adapters

This is the one from Madvapes 901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer adapter they are 2.49 plus shipping which is a couple of dollars so it works out about the same if that is all you are going to buy.

ok so now I'm a little confused ~
Any wall adapter is ok as long as it is rated 5v 500ma output
But using the usb plug that came with it is important is 5v 150 ma and shouldn't be substituted with another one...I'm guessing that the 5v/150ma is not a common type of usb cord?
Am I getting it?

You're confusing the two pieces. The part that plugs into the outlet is part one.
IMAG0493.jpg

This takes the AC power from your wall outlet ant turns it into 5v 500ma DC power

Part two takes the power from part one and converts it to 5v 150ma power. The connection is unique to the echo. If you don't like that part two hangs from part on, a USB extension cord could be used.

Thanks, you just saved me some money. Staying activated until cutoff isn't good.

I only tried it with one emdcc and then I misplaced the adapter so I was curious if Galthrojh had the same results but he hasn't responded since he received his. I don't know if it was the low resistance of the carto or crackling noise caused when it activated that made it stay on after I quit dragging on it but it did it eveytime. I didn't really want to use it with the Echo so I didn't try it on any others.

Thanks! That's all I need to know. I have plenty of other PVs to use the EMDCC on. In reflexion, I really don't need anything else right now, and that would make my wife HAPPY for me to stop spending money. So, I'll be a good boy until next month.

Mountain Vapor now has the Echo Dual Horizontal Coil but won't be available online until Sept. These new cartos have been in the works for a few months and are supposed to be awesome. MWA a member on here made the first prototype and he told me they really work good. Dennis at Mtn Vapor says they have made other improvements also including a slightly new designed tip and different filler. Mountain Vapor - High quality e-cigarettes, liquids and accessories.
