I'm not sure about the Echo-e battery but the 1300 echo takes about 8 hrs to charge. Is it a 650 or 1300? Are you saying that after 4 hrs the led on battery went out? The led on end of battery should come on when put on charger and go off when fully charged. If it doesn't work in that manner clean the carto and battery connection with a q-tip and try again.

it's a 1300. there's no LED on the end of the echo-e. when it's charging the LED on the USB charger is red(i charge on my computer). when it's full charge they say the USB LED turns to green. The battery and charger are definitely making contact. weird...anybody experiencing this? thanks for always answering my queries TX :)

I learned something anyways, I thought they had a light on the end of battery like the echo. The Echo-e is one of the few fat bats I don't have. The led light on my usb charger also stays red even after it is charged too.

Ok, I am having a serious dang problem, and if someone can help me, or at the least explain why this is happening I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Half of my Carto's (after loading them for the first time) are GREAT, simply wonderful!!! I get the greatest most flavorful hit from the first vape all the way to the 1,000 Vape! The other half (of my NEW Carto's), have the most horrible BURNT taste after first loading them, it's like vaping a dead cat!!! I did everything, including vaping (without inhalling) for a full day, and still , it's horrible!!! I am waisting sooo much E-Juice it's starting to brake my bank!

Now, at first I thought this was because I needed to vape away the Primer at first. I did this, and still , half my brand new Carto's are absolutly HORRIBLE!! This is the first time in a VERY long time I felt like smoking an analog! I mean, it's that bad!!!

Out of 6 of the last brand new Carto's I plugged, 4 of them did this to me! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Now, I consider myself an expert with vape Tech, I been vaping since June of 09', I have had the Echo since early June 11' and been loving it to death!!! I have had the same 12 Carto's since, and the first 3 were fine, the 4th junk, the 5th junk, the 6th, fine, and so on. I mean, WTF!!! Excuss my language, but my lord, this is really starting to PIZZ me off!!! :(

I'm really contemplating on going back to 510 style devices, I really hate the thought of that, as I LOOOVE my Echo, but this half and half (tasting good) crap is getting ridiculous!

Thanks Much! :)

Try pushing the filler down in the carto. I use an oversized McDonald's milkshake straw. The Idea is to make sure the filler material is sitting on top of the coil located at the bottom of the carto. This takes away the burnt taste and allows the filler to wick properly. Lots of times with any horizontal coil cartomizers the filler is not inserted all the way down into the base of the carto at the factory. Happens with gogos, echos and Igos. The first thing I do with a new carto is lightly tamp the filler down before I fill for the first time. Sort of like banging a fresh pack of cigarettes on the table to pack the tobacco tight to the base of the filter for a better draw. After a week or so of use I've also noticed that the filler tends to shrink away from the bottom and a little push will restore proper function.
Hope this solves your problem.

This unique problem only appers on horizontal coil cartos. QC at the carto factory may not be top notch and there appears to be some shrinkage of the filler at the bottom after a period of usage. Probably due to the heat from the coil. I've been using the same echo-e carto for over 3 weeks and within that time, I've pushed the filler down twice to restore flavor.

we can fly to the moon....we can send pictures from mars...but we cant make the filler on the
carto to stay where its supposed to.
i think mohawkx is right.

If anyone is interested in getting an Echo or Echo-e dual coil carto before September Dennis at Mtn Vapor is running a promo and giving a free DCE to anyone buying a 30 ml bottle of his new custom juice. He doesn't have many left so it might not last long. I am hearing really great things about these from someone that has been using them for a couple of weeks. He says they are really really good! These are the first dual horiz coil cartos on the market.Mountain Vapor - High quality e-cigarettes, liquids and accessories.

Have you had to clean the cart, or have you just been topping off?

I've had my echo for a few days and love it. Actually I love one battery and hate the other (because it doesn't work). The dealer (smoktek) has been great though and I'm going to be getting a replacement very soon. The battery that works is awesome. I haven't been this excited about a pv since my gogo.

Woohoo thanks for the tip - I just ordered! You need to enter the carto request in the comments.

Glad I checked this thread :)

No cleaning, just topping off and pushing down the filler occasionally. I hope ethermagic posts if he/she found a solution or not. It helps all of us if we successfully troubleshoot the problems and get feedback.

I can't wait to try them. I only know two people that have been lucky enough to try them and they say they're the best they have ever used. One of them has tried every carto on the market so his opinion goes a long ways with me.
There should be a review up soon and I will post when it is available.
