Question: Dear Professor. Veronesi, to expose them to write back a question: the electronic cigarette can be dangerous? In the pharmacy where I bought the product, the operators have assuredme of his absolute harmlessness, but if I strive with e-cigarette, an aerosol of substances, such substances may not cause a littletrouble, for example, in the lungs? I would like one of his illuminatingopinion. Thank you.

answer:
Dear Stephen, the electronic cigarette is harmless absolutely , especially the non-nicotine, so much so that, for example, is used for a scientific protocol involves three multicenter official IRCCSMilan. The electronic cigarette can be a very useful tool to begin a process of cessation, especially in those who have a strongpsychological dependence-sign, which is one of the key components and more difficult to eradicate the dependence of smokers.

I have learned why Prof. Veronesi is willing to state that electronic cigarettes are harmless.

He is engaged in an electronic cigarettes research project. But since he believes strongly in the toxicity of nicotine (when will they ever learn???), his research is using no nicotine. Two other drawbacks to his research design are small sample size and a very specific type of smoker: those undergoing chemotherapy for hematological cancers.

thank you. maybe still some value since the delivery system is also a target (it looks like a cigarette so it must be harmful, antifreeze, etc). personally i'd like to see some development in ultrasonics to get us away from heating coils. only for aesthetic/taste reasons.

@ Vocalek I don't know '. Veronesi said that nicotine is toxic and dependence which is not from cancer, the insist unanimously all doctors. Unfortunately the only company that has offered to do testing with cancer patients at their own expense, produces no nicotine ecig. If no company of ecig (Ovale type) is ready to invest in research ever no tests will as possible. We are interested that the ecig is customs cleared and you can buy freely, with the belief, safe, that it is better to steam a ecig that a cigarette. With all the ramifications that have powerful pharmaceutical companies in the world is already a small step forward.:)
