Honestly, I can not see how the EU will be able to push their new directive into practice. It is way too clear to way too many people that the EU will actually be condemning millions of their citizens to death if it gets its wish. Sorry EU, this is one of those rare cases the slowness of politics actually works to the benefit of the people. You're too late. You let this one slip between your fingers.

Just because it's a really stupid thing to do doesn't mean that they won't go ahead and do it.
