I think the forum has been around since 07 I believe so 2 years before I came along there had to be a mod or 2
The first commerical type was the screwdriver, made in the UK, very hard to get, only available with 901 atomizer, long lead time. The first homemade mod was made from a flashlight, no commerical connectors available, had to break apart a ecig battery to get one. Only 801 and 901 atomizers were available then. My first purchased mod was called a lightsabre, it used some sort of modified cable connector for the 801 atomizer and a 18650 battery. Pure Smoker was the first to offer off the shelf mods in the US called Prodigy. Man things have come a long way. I registered with ECF in 2009, don't post much but read every day.
I register in May of 09, though I was experimenting with vaping since Jan 09 and fell out of the loop for a wile after my first ecig. There were only a few places to buy juice and I remember buying a huge amount of loran flavors for DIY from the local Ben Franklin, and getting weird looks when I told them what it was for. I remember all the DIY flashlight mods that started becoming popular and then I started working more and more. Now I have established a decent position at work I am able to read and post allot more, and having time to build the mods that interest me.
Ok anyone remember the first box mod they saw (these are my favorite because.... well it feels less like a cigarette). the first I saw, if I remember right was a nicostick here on ecf using a audio plug to fit a 901 (maybe it was a 801 wow it was a wile ago). so which was the first you saw?

Mad Dogs Magnum was the first of the DIY flashlight Mods. All tube type mods have him to thank.
