So since I have seen some of us now making wood battery holders, I decided to add to my collection too.

Enter, the Fog Barrel.

Made for home vaping, something to leave on the table. Of course, 6000mAh for a full week of vaping pleasure before changing batts!

I have the outside shape done, it is 3.5" tall. I still need to drill out the battery compartments, and the 901 adapter hole, and the switch hole. It will comprise of:

one solid oak banister top rail lathed down
901 atty adapter
TWO 3000mAh 18650 batteries in parallel (6000 mAh!)
simple switch from radio shack

here are the current pics, more to follow in the next few days once completed:

So, what does everyone think so far? :D

Raven, that is so different! Can't wait to see the finished product. I am continually amazed at the inventiveness of the people on this forum! I wonder what's next! So are you making these to sell or just for grins and giggles?

I made 2 so far, 1 for me, and another for a good vaping buddy. 2 hours on the lathe for the first one, and and hour for the second, but I think too much of a pain for mass producing. Just done to satisfy my constant vaping habbit. :D

I'd say for giggles. He showed up at my house at 11:30 last night covered in sawdust after playing mechanical beaver for about 4 hours.

I also have one but will configure it a little differently.

Of course, pics to come!

So since it was asked if these would be massed produced, and I do not have the time to make a ton of these myself, and me not being one to disappoint, I went out looking for some hired labor.

I went out looking for anyone with a beaver they were willing to rent out, and I found a bunch of people that did, however, they were not at all interested in the woodworking I had in mind. But when I showed them the coke I had, they did not care what kind of wood I had, and were more than happy to help. I did not get any more fog barrels produced, but I did find something else out...

As soon as Radio Shack opens I will jetison myself over there and relieve them of all their adaptor stock and have a functioning FOG BARREL!

All that's left is the cosmetics.

Had to place another order with DX for batteries, I keep finding things to mod.

FOG CLUB soming soon... all 6000mah of it!

Raven found himself accidentially asleep tonight. Despite my numerous attempts to openly taunt him with text pics of progress, I was unsuccessful until almost 1am.

Damn mortals and their sleeping and such! He spends all last night playing mechanical beaver, brings me the unit... and I complete mine while he's sleeping - then taunt him about it...

What are friends for?
