Got my iHybrid today. Here's a couple of quick pics. My thoughts after the pics.

pGhS3.jpg

Build : Very smooth threads. Like the way it all fits together nicely. No issues with gaps like someone posted. Like the tank shield and the locking mechanism. The air hole is the right size for me.

Vape : Works as expected. Easy to setup. Happy with the vapor production with a 3/4 wrap 32 gauge wire.

Unexpected positive :
- The "i" on the tank shield aligns perfectly with the wick as you can see in the second pic. Don't know if this was done on purpose, but I like it. Make it easy to spot which way to tilt the device.

Negatives : None.

Other thoughts and suggestions:
- I am not a fan of mechanical mods, prefer the provari approach with an atty on top and a firm believer in electronics. Even though I really like this device, if you ever come out with stand alone atty top, count me in for a couple of those. This is just a personal preference.

- It would be great the if you can make the wick hole bigger like in the DID (3.5 mm I think). The reason why I say that it allows for sturdier wicks that don't need a needle/support in the middle to easily wrap a coil and the wick would last longer. I have no issues what-so-ever with wicking, but just saying.

- The wick hole is on the left of the screw in iHybrid. I don't own a zenesis, so I am not sure if this is how those are designed, but being a righty, if the wick hole is to the right of the screw, it would make it easier to wrap a coil. Again, I could wrap a coil without issues, but would've preferred to have it on the right of the screw.

So, congrats faceless for a fantastic device that vapes great and looks beautiful and Thank you for sending me one. :)

Cheers
/JP

What the heck is that sticking out the top of your iHybrid? :)

My i doesn't align with the wick so I am guessing that you were just lucky or I was just unlucky. Haaaaaah

The Neg on the Zen is in the same location and I stick a paper clip or a syringe blunt in the wick when wrapping a coil. I prefer thin walled wicks so a larger wick hole is not really an issue for me. When I wrap a coil I turn the device, not by looping the Kanthal, it just allows me to keep the coil where I want it, instead of it moving as I loop around. Personal preference and all, I guess.

- It's a Tanbur stainless steel drip tip from Super-T manufacturing. I like the vape to cool down a bit before it hits me and I love this drip tip.
- I guess lucky me on the "i" alignment.
- Pretty much everything I mentioned is just personal preference. I am sure most people might prefer the existing options. I guess it all depends on which device you are used to.
- I forgot to mention that I love the finish. Again I like it more than the shiny chrome look some other devices have.

Bottom line, Faceless - would it be possible, if it's not too much trouble, for me to get two pieces of help from you? I would love if I could return the old cap and the new switch and I could get a cap that fits Mawns (it could be the same one, I don't need the new finish) and a switch that behaves like the old ones? Please? It would really make me very happy!

For the switch, all you have to do is take out the spring in the other one and insert it in the new one :) Send back old cap and I'll send you a new one. So I should stick with the old spring or just go magnets?

I don't know bro, if you went full magnets would using two thin magnets make it to the liking of those that like a light touch? That would be the only thing holding me back in completely recommending switching to magnets, maybe just leaving that as an option is the best choice. It's your call....maybe get others input. I like the fatty and thin magnet set up, but that is my opinion and I'm not a fan of the light touch switch that could potentially fire from just sitting the device down in a certain way. Decisions, decisions........

Virginia is for vapers
I love that Trippy! I got three Chinese DID clone attys coming from a co-op - I think I am going to trade one on the classies for one or two of those. I have been vaping for just shy of a year and have never bothered with them because of the price.

Well, I got it, and only have two beefs... The first one is really a small one. I have that gap when I have the Kick in it.

The second one is HUGE! I'll illustrate-

This pic was taken at 5:33 EDT, tank was 3/4 full.

This pic was taken at 7:45 EDT...

Fecking tank empties too fast! LOL

Great job, Faceless. I love it!

The tank guard on mine lines up with the air intake hole on the cap too.

Well... I want to use both! Your prototype works far too well to decommission it. Plus - I have an emotional connection with it now :p

So can you either send me a spring or point me at where to get one?

I don't know what you should do. In my personal opinion, your original prototype switch was far better than the Zenesis one. I loved throw and the tension and the fact that it was stable on a table :) So.. my vote is obvious.
