I play an iHy. :)
That was my daughters old band Coal Chamber. (97 to 01 or 02) They did 4 or 5 studio CD's & sold millions worldwide. She played bass.

I remember meeting them. I played in a rock/ska band in Bakersfield. Blind from Korn was written in our old studio. But the name of the band wasn't Korn. Does anybody know the name of that band at the time?

The gold anodizing looks EPIC!

http://fistandantalia.deviantart.com/ I have jack on there right now, barely go there.. prefer to put my pics on renderosity or renderotica.

I know I'll look really stoopid for asking a question like this, but I'd like more information on what "rendering" is? I have a basic idea...but it seems to be your business? Is there a link to explain what type of art this is? How it's done? It's a bit fascinating to me lately after seeing these beautifully crafted models of the iHybrids. So, I'm curious. I'll Google it and see what I can find. I just think it would interesting to know the steps you take when you get an initial "idea" or "draft".

Setup a new wick and coil when I got home today. Check this boss out. I love once you figure these things out! First try and no having to move coils around :)

I was never into bands like Korn. I have heard of Coal Chamber but I havent heard their music before tonight. Just not really a fan of that. But its cool to see we have a Celebrity Dad on here!! I grew up in the 70's. So I like bands like KISS, Aerosmith and bands like that. I also like the Hair Metal Bands. Ratt, LA Guns, Motely Crue and Faster .....cat to name a few. But my all time favorite bands are KISS ( seen them live over 50 times) Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ratt, Angel and my new favorite. VOLBEAT!!! Love these guys. If you have never heard them. The best way to describe their sound is if Elvis, Metallica and Johnny Cash had a child it would be Volbeat! A little Metal with some Rockabilly thrown in the mix! Yes Im an old man and yes I still listen to Metal. Ill never forget going to a local club to see Anthrax. I was in the bathroom and some kid looked at me and said arent you a little old to be here? I just looked at him and said...Kid I was listening to these guys before you were born! He shut up. Never said another word. I just walked out. I always said I will be in a wheel chair and still rocking out!!! \m/ \m/

This is the render engine I normally use: http://www.3delight.com/en/index.php it's considered a biased engine which means it doesn't handle light as realistically as others but I'm very good at using it so I continue to do so even though I have several non biased engines at my disposal.

edit: this is the 3D modeler I usually use, it's pretty basic but it works well most of the time

and this is the UV unwrapper I use to make my models able to take textures:

Oh yeah I still have all my albums. Here that kiddies? Albums!!! As in Vinyl. Do you know what that is? LMAO!!! They still sound better than anything on CD. I prefer the sound from Vinyl over a CD. You just cant capture that garage sound on CD.

I told my 5 year old he was sounding like a broken record. I then had to explain to the 13 year old what a record was and dig out his dad's collection.
