This is the render engine I normally use: http://www.3delight.com/en/index.php it's considered a biased engine which means it doesn't handle light as realistically as others but I'm very good at using it so I continue to do so even though I have several non biased engines at my disposal.

edit: this is the 3D modeler I usually use, it's pretty basic but it works well most of the time

Fascinating, Fisty. My grandson is into something similar (and this is going to sound goofy) but he and some friends use duct tape and are making a 3D weird looking (full size) "thingie"....sort of like a Transformer. It's impressive, even though it sounds stupid.
