As a soon to be holder of the iHybrid I have a couple questions for the pros here. I vape almost fully using Boba's Bounty or similar vapes, I have spent this time perfecting my SS wick and wrapping it. My questions are:
1. What is the ideal mesh I should be using?
2. What gauge and what type of wire? (Kanthal? NiChrome?)

Any other tips out there? I have bookmarked videos on this but wanted to throw in a request for some advice so I can be ready for the greatness.

On a side note, will also have a HellRaiser shortly (and plan on getting one of every (non pink/girly) LE to come).

I use 400 mesh, 32g (twisted) kanthal. So good, even the devil could use it.

Click on the link in my signature. Tons of info. I use 400 mesh and a twisted 32awg kanthal 4 wrsp or 30awg 4 wrap.

I am interested in learning more about the twisted kanthal. Is this how it is purchased or is it a DIY thing? I am concerned with hot spots as I have that problem every couple of setups I make.

Nope just standard kanthal wire twisted, like a helix. Some people use pliers, some use a Dremel. I just cut a piece of wire, take both ends and tighten it under the negative post. This makes a loop of wire. I twist this until its pretty tight and begin wrapping my coils. Does that make sense? :)

Have you checked out the reference sheet on this forum? It's pretty much all the important information that's been talked about in the past 27,000 posts, organized in one place! It's GREAT!!

I have to have one of those!! Thanks for the heads up, Chief!

I'll never shop at 310vapers again after this. I'm happy I have an iHy but it's not what I ordered AND it has a small blemish on the 18650 tube that won't come off.
I got mine today from 310 as well and the 350 tube was just rolling around in the bag with the allen wrench.
I have emailed 310 as it left marks on the finish and hope they dont do that with the HR I ordered too.
My 350 tube was also packed loose and is now scratched from the Allen key.

I'll be trying this as soon as I get home! My first coil attempt went up in smoke the first time I pulsed it lol and for some dumb reason I only brought enough kanthal for one coil:banghead:

Sent from the cab of a x-ray rig bored out of my mind!
