Well today was the opposite of yesterday. Awesome iHybrid day! Wrapped a 3 coil wrap this morning just to see the difference. This thing is kicking! I was mashing the hell out of the button with a 4 coil wrap and still not getting a satisfying hit with a 6 second draw. On a 3 coil wrap I'm getting tons pf vapor and flavor on a 4 second toot. At 1st it was way too harsh but that's cause I was mashing the hell out of the button like I had to on a 4 wrap. Lightened up on mashing the button and now it's damn near the best vaping experience I've ever had. So happy I didn't give up on this. Puffin clouds now!!!
Apply a little juice on the o-ring and the leading edges of tank, and if you get a lot of resistance once you hit the o-ring, even after applying juice (unlikely), turn the tank as you push. Try not to squeeze, I think a lot of people hold the tanks in the hand when putting back on instead of using the finger tips to push and turn.
+1 on this.
Actually, I "usually" have anywhere from 4 to 7 or 8 wraps, depending on the particular genny type device I'm wrapping on.
I have not been able to get past a 3/4 wrap on my iHybrid.
Now, that's not a complaint, 'cause it spews out vapor with that wrap.
But.
I literally just popped like 10 coils in a row. Even with a 3 wrap and an almost drained battery.
I kept pulling the wick and burning it more, but it just wasn't helping.
Now, I will freely admit my wick/coil skills suck, so don't take my experience as the norm. LOL
I did have to finally break and put some type of insulator around the wick where it goes through the tank.
This has apparently solved my problem.
No popped coil, no dark juice, just tasty vapor.
(now that I've said that, watch Murphy's Law kick in)

hey guys, im looking for a new genny style to try, i know faceless from the pluid forum and have heavily considered it, i just got a zen standard in the classies, so how do you guys think the i hybrid compares? how is the draw? i feel like the draw on the zen is to airy, so is the i hybrid a little stiffer and how is it to set up? a lot of people say the zen is the easiest to set up, but i still have trouble, lol will the i hybrid be about the same, easier or harder?
faceless, i hope you dont mind me asking comparisons to the zen, but its all i have to go by at the moment.
thanks guys!

Even on the Zenesis I prefer a 3 coil wrap. Its a little hotter and produces clouds
The iHybrid in its default form (with the taller positive screw) has a tighter draw than the Zenesis. Not a ton, it's still a rebuildable, but it is tighter. The only real difference with setup is the wick insulator. Since the iH doesn't have one you need to make REALLY sure the wick is oxidized well where it goes though the top part of the tank.
I think oxidizing has a lot to do with the power of your torch, mine is crazy strong and I never have popped coils or insulatorsI'm too worried about plastic fumes. Maybe if I found a teflon piece in the size I need. What do you use for insulators? I will measure the hole
I got a piece of insulation from Zen~ when we went out to lunch Friday.. I don't' know off hand what it's made out of though.

I agree with this. My first torch was a small style one I picked up at radio shack. Flame was pretty small and the wick never seemed to get oxidized quite enough. Picked up one thats a bit bigger, has a bigger flame and the process is much faster and seems to work better. This one has been working well for me.
I don't have a torch, I literally use my kitchen stove.
I think, but won't swear, that the Zen insulators are PTFE?
I could be way off base here.
I use a piece out of a carto that Katz recommended.
It looks almost like canvas. It's thin though.
I use a dental pick, and go way down to the bottom of the carto and pull everything out.
Unwrap the cottony stuff, then there's what looks like really thick tissue or gauze, but inside all of that is the little piece
that goes around the wire in the carto.
It's just long enough too.
