Now, is that because I don't post much lately? Or because I am the sensible one here? OR because I am the great breaker of switches? Or is it simply because you trust my judgement? LMAO

My answer is D. All of the above.

I was just thinking about you MissEnema! Coincidence?

Sorry to bring a bunch of newb questions, but this is my first mechanical, and top of the line genesis style... I'm sure some new customer will benefit at some point from my embarrassing myself with these questions.

How exactly do I use a multimeter? Like what do I do? I buy the multimeter, wrap the wick and coil, then what? Perhaps if anyone knows of a video they could point me to where it is done with an iHy or sumpin like it... Come to think of it, I've never used a multimeter in my life.

I'd like to apologize for my blunt answer to BNS. It was not meant as an attack.

What I was trying to say is that people looking for a forum to voice their concerns should be able to come here and do exactly that. As long as they are reasonable and are willing to listen to reason off course.

BTW; Nothing wrong with a bit of fanboyisme, certainly not if the subject has proven to be one of the best out there.

Anyway, please let me take back the ... kissing remark. It was obviously not recieved as it was intended.

Cheers

Thanks bro. But I still think I was relaying the facts, not kissing ... :p That IS the new switch after all. No hard feelings anyhoo :)

red is the center or top screw on the post and black is the ground screw or side post, essentially one end of the coil and the other end wrapped around the wick of course, and lock out the switch or take the battery out of your APV when doing this.

an example, this is 1.2 Ohms,

if you have a volt meter that auto sets itself to 0.0 when in Ohms, if not set the volt meter to Ohms and touch the red and black leads together and if you get 0.2 or 0.3 then subtract that number from the actual reading when you test your setup, so if you had 0.2 and you get the same thing i had for a reading then you would actually have a setup of 1.0 Ohms

Just to reiterate what I said the other day as well...What's stated here is true IF the meter reads 0 Ohms with the leads touching.

Some meters will show the resistance of the leads themselves. If you touch the two leads to each other and get a reading, for example, 0.2 ohms, that needs to be subtracted from the coil reading.

IF the meter in the pictures above had a 0.2 ohm reading of just the leads, the coil reading would actually be 1.0 Ohms.

Afternoon folks. Wrapped a coil today and my first try it worked!! Had to play with it a bit. But my Dragon is blowing plumes again!!! When you dont use a iHy for a few days and go back to it. You forget how well this hits. There is no reason to look anywhere else for a Genesis style Hybrid. This is the one! Thanks Faceless for making this guy a very happy man. Cant wait too see and vape whats next!! I am proud to say Im a Hybreed!!!
