for me (pyrex versus quartz) quartz is easier for me to get than pyrex, the wait is longer from my supplier, the differences are very little. I will never use plastic tanks, even water sitting in plastic in the heat shouldnt be drank, they should say something about plastic. Any juice that eats plastic shouldnt be considered an issue, the issue would be the plastic. Just my 2 cents
Motive.... uhhhhh, I'm not really sure there is a reasonable motive for shooting 7 year olds.
Some reports are saying the shooters mother was a teacher at the school and was killed at home. Seems to be a lot of conflicting reports, so who really knows. Even if that's true I have no idea how that ties into shooting small innocent children.

Me either...just heard about it and started reading. Some 20 year old walked into a school of young children and killed close to 30 people, most of them children under the age of 10.

Is there an issue with pyrex having to be really thick to be as durable as quartz?
All of the stuff I have with pyrex tubes it's REALLY thick.
