One thing I ignored from Zen was the flame polishing of the tanks, man I should have listened lol. Thats the problem with the condensation in the tank sleeve, the flame polish makes it smooth were vapor wont stay and turn to condensation. I switched to a flame polished tank and it got rid of the problem, I'm on day 3-4 and it fixed it. I have 2 ways of solving this. I can give everyone $10 via paypal (the units I shipped this week are flame polished) or you can send me a prepaid shipping envelope and I will ship a tank to you. If you bought a colored tube it will include a tank for free for this purpose. If you have a zen standard tank, its flame polished and will eliminate the problem. All mine are flame polished from last week to now :)

It's like the iPhone, every version gets better

I ordered mine last week just want to make sure I have all necessary parts on hand when it arrives. What is the best set up for 100%vg. Mesh, awg size wire and wraps on coil? Thanks in advance.

It's kind of subjective and comes down to personal taste, heat of the vape, amount of throat hit etc.

325x325 SS mesh 304-316 grade for 100% VG juice.
Try a "standard" 3/4 wrap of 32 AWG Kanthal to start. This means you will have 4 wraps on one side of the wick and 3 wraps on the other.

That's kind of a good standby. You can adjust amount of coils up or down to see what you like better.

All you really need is mesh, wire and some sort of torch for oxidizing the wick.

Thank you that makes me happy since I've got plenty of 325 mesh and 32 awg kanthal wire to get started on this new mod.

@ Fisty. Aluminium expands with heat faster than SS or mild steel. Try hot / hot water on the tube and twist off slowly as to try and not gall any more threads. Good luck.

Great tip! I will try that, thanks! =)

Fisty's words of inspiration has touched me. Must find washer tomorrow. Any SS washer should be fine right?

Size 6s stainless steel washer

I admire your being able to do anything with nails like that.

They're a pain in the ..... but so pretty...

Fun facts about coils for you kick users(and this is why I have a stock of 36 AWG):

I've been seriously considering getting a Kick. I already have a couple 18490 batteries I got with my Provari, and in using the Provari with my ZAP I've determined I really like the higher consistent voltage. It doesn't bother me that it's harder to adjust on the fly, I haven't changed the Provari from 4.5 volts since I determined that's how it tastes best.

I don't agree at all lol. Just my opinion but I doubt the vapor goes in a circular motion at all, just like cartos and anything else, it just goes where the force is. I don't see why vapor going in a circle is important, can you elaborate?

I try not to think too hard about the science of it, I deal with enough technical crap with my job, but that's what Zen says and I trust him. =) It does seem to have made the vapor thicker and tastier.

Also, if you cross threaded it, just send me the top portion back with the tank attached and I'll replace it for you :)

I'll try heating it first and see with that helps, if it doesn't I'll send you the whole thing for you can see how is' vaping.. it's pretty damn awesome. I sure hope the heating works though, I don't want to give it up now. LOL Timmy has stolen my purple provari/zap.. I think I've gotten 6 drags off it in the last 3 1/2 days and now the iHybrid is out performing everything but that.
